Gokulam Grand Resort & Spa

"Grand Gokulam Kumarakom is truly magnificent. The location on the backwaters is breathtaking, and the architecture, with its beautiful use of wood and traditional design, makes the entire property feel special. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff were exceptional, always attentive, genuinely warm, and constantly looking for ways to help. The level of hospitality was beyond anything I expected. The food was also among the best I’ve had at a hotel. The breakfast buffet had an incredible variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. We stayed in a lake-view cottage, and it honestly felt like living like a king. Waking up to those serene, breathtaking views of the backwaters was an experience in itself. Overall, Grand Gokulam Kumarakom is a truly exceptional property. Beautiful surroundings, stunning architecture, outstanding service, and fantastic food — everything came together to make our stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious experience in Kumarakom."

"Lovely lake-side setting - very peaceful. Reception organised a kayak tour for me, which was good fun. I'd an issue with the TV, and the hotel Technician was at my room within 5 minutes of me mentioning it. He determined it was broken, and brought a new one and installed it within 30 minutes. Had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the on-site restaurant, and all were lovely meals. The restaurant team were also very helpful - one noticed that I'd started some toast while I took my plate of food to my table, and so she stepped in, collected some butter and jam, and added my toast to a plate which she brought it over to the table for me. Attentive and helpful. The pool was also lovely and warm."

"This was our second stay at The Leela Raviz, one year after our first stay. We were equally blown away the second time by the breezy beauty of this lakefront resort and being so kindly greeted by Lenin the security guard who recognized us from our first visit! A true gem of Kerala, the resort and staff surpass others with the quality of service, cleanliness, and sheer beauty of this heritage building and property design."

"Our stay at Hills & Hues, Thekkady was an awesome experience. Nestled amidst the lush greenery of the Western Ghats, the property offers breathtaking views that can be enjoyed right from the rooms. Waking up to mist-covered hills and panoramic landscapes each morning was both relaxing and rejuvenating. The staff deserve special recognition for their warm hospitality, friendliness, and attentiveness. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their courteous service added greatly to the overall experience. The resort also offered a variety of well-organized activities that cater to guests of different interests, making it easy to unwind without having to leave the property. Whether enjoying the facilities, exploring the surroundings, or simply taking in the stunning views, there was always something to do. The food, ambiance, and overall upkeep of the resort were excellent, creating a memorable and relaxing getaway. The only drawback we found was the layout of the property. Since the rooms are situated along a steep slope, accessing the main restaurant and common areas was challenging, particularly for guests over 60 years of age. Overall, Hills & Hues offers a beautiful blend of luxury, nature, and hospitality. Despite the challenge posed by the steep terrain, our experience was exceptional, and we left with wonderful memories of our time in Thekkady."
