"La Quinta had on my request given us an accessible room on the first floor. They have an elevator just for hotel guests and residents, which operates on your door card. Hence you know it is safe, no one who doesn’t belong there can come up. The room was very spacious so I could drive around on my wheelchair without damaging anything. The bed comfortable and a nice king size. The bathroom again accessible with rails and a seat for showering. The reception was friendly and helpful, when asked to book us a taxi they did straightaway and when the taxi didn’t show on time they called them again to make sure the booking was registered, which it was. The driver was just late! We also got a disability park behind the building right at the entrance of the elevator, so thoughtful and convenient. The room was serviced everyday but we didn’t need our towels changed, our choice, so they left them on heated towel rails and just cleaned the bathroom and replenished the coffee and milk we had used and took our rubbish away. The view was awesome, we looked out on the remarkables, beautiful snowy capped mountains. Who doesn’t want to wake up to that. our stay of three nights was wonderful and we’d definitely book again should we be in the area."

"We stayed at Scenic Southern Cross as part of a larger trip of New Zealand. The hotel was convenient to the central city and not far from the Octagon. The room was very comfortable and quiet although the view from room was a parking lot. We found parking on the street right across from the hotel for our overnight stay. The staff was great. We visited the Casino which was a good sized venue but did not gamble. We closed out our night on the town with a nightcap at the hotel bar watching rugby with some other hotel guests. Very good stay in Dunedin. "

"The Heritage was an awesome place to stay at in Queenstown. We had a lake view room with a balcony and it did not disappoint as the views were spectacular. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant had a very good dinner menu and the breakfast buffet was also very good. The bar had a very good selection and had Allan Scott wines on tap. I used the hot tub and it was good although I would have liked it a couple degrees warmer. Parking in the garage was ample and safe. We walked to town one day and it is about a 20 minute downhill walk. I would not walk back as the hill is steep (ie reason for the great views). We took a taxi back after visiting town and it was reasonable ($NZ25-30). I enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again. "

"The rooms are getting a bit shabby the walls need a paint & the carpets need shampooing, overall very comfortable a bit over priced. A nice quiet area to stay, a bit out of the main CBD. The restaurant was fabulous, great staff"

"Our studio unit has the lakeside view of Lake Wakatipu. It was very convenient to have a full kitchen and washer/dryer for our 4 nights stay. The place is very near and walkable to the Central Business District. Very quiet too."
