"It’s about 20 minutes from the pier and the main town, but honestly, everything on the island takes 20–40 minutes to reach by motorbike. However, there’s a mini market right in front of the hotel, and they also sell gasoline, which is very convenient. The room was wonderful, but what really stood out was the bathroom. "Nice resort. Getting a bit old & you cant swim at the beach in front of the resort. The beds are very hard. Maybe they could put a mattress topper on them. They also need more storage in the rooms."

"We stayed at NYUH Gading Hill for 2 nights and wish our stay was longer. Our room was clean, had the required essentials, shower worked well (good water pressure and temperature). We did note some ants in the bathroom on the last day, but this was quite common amongst several places we stayed in Bali so didn't think too much of it. The staff were friendly and food at the restaurant tasted good but smaller portions. The pool water was warm with nice jets and deep enough that you could actually swim. The highlight was the view (though there is some construction in the area). The hotel did not have organized taxi pick up from the port, but connected us with drivers to move around the island (it is quite pricey compared to main land Bali though!) or you can rent a scooter per day. Overall a comfortable stay and would recommend."

"Loved our stay here . Built on steep site but means a lot of rooms have beautiful view and they have buggies available all the time to take you up and down hill if needed . One of the highlights was the beautiful staff - so friendly and helpful. The pool areas are lovely . All the restaurants have great food and we found it hard to leave and eat elsewhere . Rooms were very clean and spacious with very comfortable beds ."

"We had an awesome time at The Tamarind. The pools are beautiful, the rooms are very spacious, even with the rollout bed for our daughter. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were absolutely beautiful, so helpful and friendly. The only thing was the location, which was a short walk to the nearest beach. As the hotel is built on a hill, there are lots of steps to get to your room and the pool, but the views are worth it! Thank you for our stay. Anita"

"This was a very nice Villa with a STUNNING view of the ocean right outside your door. Their dinner is delicious with a free breakfast that came with our stay. The front desk helped with transportation and we had the same driver 3 times. While it’s beautiful they definitely have an aunt problem and you’ll be approached by stray dogs on the beach. Many are not taken care of and sadly have to beg tourists for food, which is not safe for tourists. We mostly enjoyed our stay on the beach with the exception of the dirty sheets. The Villa wasn’t cleaned very well. I found a few dead bugs on the bed sheets and had a hard time sleeping the next two nights. Also, sand is very heard to keep out of the villa. They provide a broom but I wish they had better mats at the doors and wash stations to help. Definitely the cleanliness needed improvement."
