"We had an amazing 5 nights at the Anjiamarango. Our bungalow overlooking the sea was just idyllic- we could hear the waves as we fell asleep. The lovely cleaning ladies kept it immaculately clean too. All the staff are kind & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We just loved how peaceful it was, the beach was long and perfect for early morning beach walks. Lots of Chameleons around in the trees too which we loved spotting. The food was mostly good, we found the portions to be double the size...

I was also pleasantly surprised when the general manager ordered the front desk to give me a massage coupon, which was such a thoughtful gesture. "Hotel moderne, propre. Bungalow avec vue et acces direct à la plage. Jardins extraordinaires, très bien entretenus. Plage impraticable, eau sale, rejets marrons. Séjour juste avant 2 mois de fermeture. Depart le 15 janvier, fermeture le 16. Taux d’occupation très faible. Les buffets s’en sont ressentis. Peu de choix, viandes dures... difficile de se plaindre quand on voit la pauvreté extrême du pays. Le service excursion a été formidable avec nous et nous a organisé une sortie privée du fait...

"Absolutely horrible. Will never ever stay here again. We checked in to a plunge pool villa. The pool was dirty and gross, beach towels laid out hasn't been washed in forever. Inside there is no ceiling fans only the stand alone portable fans. It was so hot with no air conditioning. The bed sheets were very dirty with dead bugs on them as well as dead bugs around the entire villa. Not to mention as well live bugs, including many mosquitoes. The entire place hasn't been cleaned. Twice, I asked...

"The room was spacious and clean. The staff were really friendly and a couple of them spoke english so that was reallly helpful. The location is convenient. A few minute walk down to the main restaurants and bars. The walk can be a little dark, so have your camera flashlight handy. It is a really safe area, no issues at all. The only 2 issues i had were that the tv didn't work, only the menu page loaded but no channels and i tried having a hot bath, but there was no hot water. Either than that,...
