"This gem of a small hotel is located at the best possible place in a magical ancient city. It is close to both the Old City of Jerusalem and the modern downtown with easy access by foot to both Muslem and Jewish parts of the city. The property is far from new but it has obviously been renovated recently with very pleasing results. The lobby is comfortable and beautiful. The breakfast and breakfast room are outstanding. Staff is super-friendly, kind and accomodating in the extreme. I accidently ordered and paid for only one breakfast for my two-day stay. The desk clerk addressed the problem by cheerfully giving me a complimentary breakfast for the second day. As with any hotel, this one is not perfect. inexplicably, my room had bed-side tables and nearby electrical outlets but lacked bed-side lamps. The room is lit by a single bulb on the wall opposite the bed. There is sufficient light but evening reading in bed is impossible. Unusually, there is no desk and only the tiniest of tables next to the single but very comfortable chair. There is a lovely looking espresso maker with coffee provided. Sadly, the lack of directions prevented me from using it. Both the safe and the door refused to work properly but these problems were cheefully and quickly addressed. None of these issues were, however, sufficient to impact my enjoyment of the lovely room. I would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat."

"I read some reviews mentioning unpleasant staff, so I was a little worried before our stay, but we had a wonderful experience! The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive, and we felt very welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, and the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and relaxing. The food was absolutely marvelous! Overall, we had a fantastic stay and were very happy with our experience. We would definitely recommend this hotel!"
