It was quite a pleasant surprise to have such a nice hotel in the middle of Death Valley National Park. The price was a bit high but for good reasons. One minir issue is that we booked for four people but there were only three sets of clean towels. We called the help desk for another set but it was not delivered to us.

It was wonderful to stay in the park and have these amenities. Even though the room was dated, it was clean. The grounds are beautiful and the pool was fantastic. We enjoyed the saloon and the Wildrose tavern at the golf course. The buffet was not appealing. It truly is an oasis and so close to all the highlights in this beautiful park!

Our stay was amazing. The ranch cottage was great facility. Beautifully, cap decorated flowers grounds, etc. were impeccable. 2nd night we stayed at the hotel rooms And even though they were newly renovated, they were old, air conditioner was loud but they were clean.HOWEVER.... The food was terrible! We decided to eat at the saloon, As the price at the dining room at the Inn was pretty pricey, But as it turned out not much different from the price at the saloon. We were the first ones to be seated and first two order. My husband ordered a steak medium rare. It came back and it was so well done it almost tastes like jerky. I ordered salmon, which was very pricey, but it must have been farmed because it had absolutely no flavor and was mushy. And being i'm from alaska, it was the worst salmon i've ever eaten! We could have sent it all back but we hadn't eaten all day and we're extremely hungry. And it took forever to get our meal, even though we were the first to order. We decided to eat at the buffet for the following night, so we took a look at what it offered. And it was also horrible. Mashed Potatoes Were yellowish, Meatloaf was smothered in sauce, not appealing at all, Chicken look horrible. We decided to eat at the tavern, For hour next meal, as the options were much better, But turned out they were closed On Tuesday and Wednesday. Ended up having a hot at the Ice cream parlor. Hot dog was cold and bun was stale. 2 hot dogs and 1 milkshke, total was $40.00!!!!

Liked that it had a vacation rental vibe. We were disappointed that the saloon and wild rose were closed on days we stayed at the ranch. Location is very nice, convenient staying in the middle of the park. Everything is within walking distance (other than “The Inn”). Rooms are not as nice as I expected by the photos and the grounds are so well kept up, I thought the rooms would be just as nice and they weren’t which was a little disappointing but overall would recommend it as a place to stay as I would stay here again. The staff was amazing!

You cannot beat the location! Check in was efficient. Room was dirty, toilet was disgusting and had obviously not been cleaned. Room and hallway smell musty and like sewage. Front desk did not answer calls. Bar and restaurant are closed on Tuesdays, buffet the only option.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our accommodations were good. The pool was wonderful especially since it was 107 degrees both days we stayed there. We had a little trouble with red ants in the parking lot on the grass median. Both my husband and I got bit and he had a mild allergic reaction to the bites for 2 days.

The room smelled a little funny. The fan, a/c were very loud. The room just seemed old and needed an update. That said, having a fairly comfortable place after a long day in the desert was great.

Everything was amazing. The facility. The cottage we stayed in the golf course couldn't be better. Our biggest complaint what's the food. Very, very expensive, which wouldn't have been a problem if it was good. We ate at the saloon and my husband ordered steak medium rare. It came back very well done and what's tough as nails. I ordered the salmon which must have been farmed because it was tasteless and mushy. At least if we are gonna pay fifty to sixty dollars for these meals, they should have been edible. Also in the morning there's nowhere to eat except the buffet. And all we wanted was coffee and something like a croissant. Or something small? But you had to pay twenty dollars per person, just for coffee. The staff was just okay, very unfriendly and need to train these people about customer service and P r.

We stayed in a cottage and it was lovely! Comfortable beds, nice shower, decent coffee in the room, friendly and accommodating staff. Sitting on the porch with evening cocktails was very peaceful. Big pool and pretty landscaping. Loved the Ranch! The only drawback to the area is the outrageous prices for food and drink with very limited options. Plan ahead - bring your cooler and more water than you think you’ll need. Expensive gas too.

Great location to access the park over multiple days. We were there during April, off season, and the dining opportunities were extremely limited and busy. We were told at check in reservations for dinner at The Last Kind Words Saloon. Called to make reservations but were told they do not accept them. Luckily, they had a 2 seat high top available. The next night a 2 hour wait which would have been at the time the restaurant would have closed. Checked the ice cream shop which online advertised burgers, but they do not offer the food menu anymore. Then, checked out the buffet and decided pre-packaged sandwiches would be better from the store there. Frustrating after a long day of hiking and exploring. If we had known about the limitations of food availability, we would have brought food.

I liked most everything about staying here. It was clean, the surroundings were nice, it felt very safe, the people working here are very pleasant. The building and room had a pretty strong musty smell but overall- very nice.

The Ranch is a beautiful place to stay while visiting Death Valley. Comfortable rooms, great recreation facilities (golf, tennis, basketball, swimming). Easy access to som o the park's most popular features.

Wonderful stay. I really appreciate the EV charging access and location. The horseback riding was great! Luke and his team were wonderful. Riding out at sunset with knowledgeable guides is a beautiful experience in Death Valley.

Old and in need of a remodel. Front desk staff were generally unhelpful and short mannered. We had asked ahead for an early check in and were refused at the desk. The General Store prices were off the scale ridiculous. I know produce has to be bought in by truck but the mark up was scandalous.

I applied for an earlier check in at 1 o’clock, received a confirmation that I was accepted. However, when I got there, they said they hadn’t given out any approvals. I showed them my confirmation, they said they didn’t know where that came from. Two hours later, I got my room. When I opened up the door to the room , I was hit with the smell of dog urine, so I went back up to the check-in desk told them that I could not stay in that room, I don’t think they believe me, finally I said send somebody to come smell this room. So long story short I finally got another room an hour later. Disappointing…. I’ve stayed at the ranch numerous times and never ran into this circumstance.

Loved the private patio that allowed us to have coffee outside every morning. Spacious grounds. The food options need to be reworked. Everything costs too much and the quality is iffy. Pasta, burgers or chicken would be easier to prepare and cheaper.

I arrived just after 9pm. The lady on reception was pleasant enough but was told I had just missed anywhere to grab any food or drink as everywhere on site closes at 9pm! I had been travelling for 19hrs and had I been made aware of this I would of at least tried to stop off somewhere and pick some provisions up, especially as I had contacted the hotel to inform them that I would be arriving late! The lady on reception said that there was only a vending machine. As I was tired from the long journey I did not make a fuss. I was given a room (911)in block 900 and when I entered the block my heart sank. The smell in the corridor is really overpowering, the room was old and definitely see better days. It was clean however. The vending machine in the corridor was out of order and a sign saying to use the machine in block 700. However when I went over the only thing that was available was Diet Coke everything else was empty. I was staying for 2 nights and things did not get much better. The staff were hit and miss as to whether they were pleasant or not The breakfast buffet is not worth the $23 price tag The general store was pretty pricey but given that it is the only non restaurant convenience store for miles around it did not surprise me. Overall I wanted to like this place but honestly I have come away pretty disappointed. There does not appear to be any happy vibes coming from the staff which is a shame as that would go a long way to put a positive spin on the stay

Internet did not work except for texting. TV signal worked briefly then not at all. Still off the next morning. AC was fine but noisy. Water pressure in shower was very low. No cell signal in room. Multiple people warned about food in the restaurant at the Ranch so we went to the more upscale Inn where the food was great! Next time I’ll pay extra and stay at the Inn. Difference in facility is quite remarkable.
