A surprise gem

We were just passing through with our three kids, and the Continental was the unexpected gem we needed. The family room was perfect with bunks for the kids and separate room for parents. The AC was an added bonus as it was 30 degrees here! La Panne is a beautiful sea town. Wish we had the time to stay for longer.

Clean, friendly, tasty, but choose courtyard view

Clean rooms, friendly service, chic lobby and courtyard. Breakfast is very well handled with a great spread. My only complaint is that when I booked, you could choose "city view" or "courtyard view." There is no city view, so we overlooked some roofs. I'd suggest "courtyard view."

Stayed here for just 1 night as we were off to Plopsaland the next day. Really lovely hotel, very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful too. Parking can be a little tricky, but we managed to get parked in the orange zone which was right outside the hotel. Plus Plopsaland was just 10 mins away, so super convenient!!

The hotel’s location was excellent it was clean, staff was wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was very good and everyone’s needs there was an additional cost but well worth it. Parking was off site but again in a city centrum to be expected and it was a easy walk. Drop off for bags when checking in and out was not difficult. I would recommend this hotel and the town for a long weekend.

C-hotels stay in De Panne

Room was clean and tidy with all the usual amenities including air conditioning. The room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet ( no road noise or noise from other rooms ). We didnt have breakfast so cant comment on the food. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Ok but bad reception and expensive breakfast

We arrived a 8:30 pm and there was no receptionist. We waited 30 min outside. The rooms are great but not amazing and the breakfast is super expensive (20 euros).

There is no aircon in the rooms. The windows provided no respite to the heat. ( it was only about 22 degrees outside) but felt like the central heating was turned on and was easily 40 degrees in the room. We noticed that keeping the bathroom door closed helped a little, we think there must be hot water pipes or underfloor heating that is not turned off. It made the evenings and returning to the rooms during the day extremely uncomfortable. Our youngest was physically sick on our last night and we had to leave a note for the cleaners!
