Silver Lake Inn is an amazing bed-and-breakfast. From the beautiful scenery to the historical house to the lovely room with the comfortable bed and great shower. The hospitality of the innkeepers was outstanding. We really enjoyed our stay very much. So much so that I’m already thinking about booking it for next year. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed.
This bed and breakfast is in a rural area and the country is beautiful. It fits right in with its log cabin base. Although it is actually made with part of a log cabin, it has been added to and remodeled with all the modern amenities. The decor is very light and airy and there are plenty of windows. It is beautifully done and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. I only wish we could have stayed there longer.
The staff was not there in person upon arrival, however they provided details (including photos) photos that made check in very easy. Breakfast was delicious and I was able to get back on the road quickly.
What a lovely B&B. The bed was super comfortable and room was very, very clean. It looked like we were first people to stay there. The breakfasts were different every day and very tasty and satisfying. Also, great coffee! It is located convenient to Harrisonburg and Shenandoah valley.
We were extremely pleased with our recent stay at Silver Lake B&B. Innkeepers Rob and Kayla could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We felt like family, the moment we walked in. We booked the 2br suite for two adults and two teenagers, and were quite comfortable. The area is strikingly beautiful and convenient to downtown Harrisonburg and James Madison University. I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again, when we find ourselves back in the area. Pro tip: Be sure to make time for some “front porch sittin’” in the evenings. Watching the sun setting behind the distant mountains is a true blessing, and the perfect way to end your day.
If you enjoy beautiful bucolic views and the slower rhythms of life, book with confidence… this place is for you.
This was the most peaceful and comforting hotel we have ever been to with very welcoming owners and we strongly recommend this place for anyone wanting to fully wind down and relax during their trip.
Long trip from Charlotte NC area to Harrisonburg VA for family visit. Required a one night stay. Silver Lake was outstanding and recommended for your lodging needs. Wonderful staff greeted us and met all of our needs and requests. The property and our room were well maintained, clean, fresh, and homey. Hands down the best experience in a rural country setting and not the "180 room motel/hotel experience we all know". We plan to return.
