"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. "The only negative aspect that I care to mention is that the room I had on the 2nd floor was not as quiet as expected. I could hear my neighbor next door in the bathroom and my upstairs neighbor walking around. They weren't doing anything crazy so the room could use better spund isolation. "

"I really loved this property and hated to leave! Everything was wonderful. The property is so beautiful and serene. The staff were magnificent. Everyone we encountered was so professional and helpful and nice from the front desk staff to the staff in the restaurant to the housekeeping staff. Everyone always welcomed us with a greeting and a smile. The room was very clean and comfortable and the view from our room was amazing. The spa services were excellent! I highly recommend this resort and cannot wait to return soon with my family! "

"Had the absolute best time at Ayung Resort! The staff were absolutely amazing and we loved getting to go to tea time in the afternoon and hang by the beautiful pool. We had a driver, Rena, pick us up from the airport and he was the best tour guide ever —sweetest man ever and we spent the entire next day with him having him show us around the island! Couldn’t recommend him enough!!"
