"The Hotel Supreme in Dambulla is definitely recommended. We stayed 4 nights in the superior room and had no problem at all. The hosts and the staff are courteous and very helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing and after a long trip you can easily enjoy your beer at the fika bar."

I can’t recommend this place enough. I have never before receive the care and kindness as I did when I stayed at Amron Resort. The family owned accommodation treated me as if I myself was family - making me a delicious breakfast every morning regardless of how early I was getting up for trips. Also very helpful in arranging activities such as going on an elephant safari. If you’re reading this, please go for this. It really showed me how beautiful the Sri Lankan people are.

We had a lovely 3 day stay at Seasons Villa and were very well looked after by Lakmalee and Nelin. The house was only 1 year old; very clean and comfortable. They provided delicious and plentiful breakfasts and dinners and local medicines when I was ill one day. They were very knowledgeable about the local area and activities, including the best place to have an authentic Ayurvedic massage. Highly recommended.

Stunning spot overlooking a lake where elephants have been every morning and evening of our stay (can’t see them that well in the evening!). Extremely friendly and helpful staff and the food they prepare , whether breakfast, or if you ask lunch or dinner, is extremely tasty and plentiful. We cancelled our plans and stayed an extra night it was that good. Cannot recommend enough.

A touch of paradise! The host and his family gave us the warmest welcome in the world. The room was spacious and spotless. Despite being in the forest, there wasn’t a single ant or mosquito in the room. It had the most comfortable bed and pillows. We had a lovely balcony overlooking lush greenery. Breakfast was served on the balcony every morning at our preferred time, and was undoubtedly the best breakfast I’ve had in any hotel around the world. I had informed them in advance that I was coming...

Stayed 1 night in August. Very nice, small hotel with a peaceful, quiet atmosphere in a great convenient location. On our arrival the staff was very accommodating and prepared curry for dinner for 2 of us- it was delicious, we appreciated the gesture! Our room was large with both A/C and a ceiling fan, and very clean. The pool was amazing after a day of exploring, and breakfast was very tasty.
Would recommend for a relaxing stop.

Our stay was lovely, the setting was amazing, in a forest with monkeys and beautiful garden. Spotlessly clean. Helped us with tuktuk to Dambulla at a good price and cab for onward travel with a very good driver.
cooked lunch at short notice, bars are nearby, 15 minute walk to Sigiriya or take tuktuk.

10/10. The hotel is VERY clean and you can see they work really hard to make sure of that. Our host was very helpful, booking a trip for us to see a cultural dance and organising our transport/negotiating a good price for the journey for us. Very nice breakfast too. Would 100% recommend staying here.

The standout from this place was the pool. Easily the best to date in Lanka. It runs directly East to West so has the sun permanently on it, making it lovely and warm. It also appears in very good nick so I would guess is relatively new. The room was pleasantly adequate with no complaints. The odd thing was there was no reception as such so to find someone, I discovered ‘hollering’ ended up being the best way. Location is definitely Marmite with peace, quite and seclusion giving it a glowing...
