Very disappointing and unacceptable experience. I booked a room at the Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Corpus Christi on McKinzie Road, and unfortunately the room had visible mold. I have pictures and videos documenting the condition of the hotel and the room. Because of the condition of the room, I did not feel comfortable staying there and had to leave. I spoke with Davis, but I felt that my concerns were basically dismissed. The hotel was unable to accommodate me with another suitable room, and I was not given a refund. I booked this room expecting a clean and safe place to stay. Finding mold in the room was completely unacceptable, and the way my complaint was handled made the experience even worse. I have photos and videos of the conditions and intend to contact the appropriate authorities, including the health department, regarding this matter. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience.

There were so many things wrong with this hotel, from the air conditioning, not working, to the doors, not closing, and locking properly, to the smells of oilfield workers in the rooms. This hotel is a no go for any future trips to Corpus Christi. The saddest thing about this hotel, besides all the complications we had was that ridiculous excuse of a breakfast that they provided. Would’ve been better to not provide anything at all than to insult guests in such a manner. Buyer beware about ever staying here.

This hotel seems to be going thru some renovation and the pictures online do not accurately depict the property. Although the room was adequate for a quick overnight trip the restroom is extremely small, the elevator shaked & rattled, the firealarm went off multiple times at 6am, and again at about 9. We were told not to worry. The worst part had to be the man attempting to walk into my room at a quarter till check out, no knock, no announcement just opened the door. Had it not been for the security latch he would have seen more than he bargained for. I told the front desk but they didnt seem to really care. So proceed with caution if staying here.
