"The team were absolutely excellent - especially a young get man working in the bar/restaurant (apologies for not catching his name). It’s a shame that the hotel itself is tired, run down and generally felt grubby. Our room smelled musty and our bathroom wasn’t very clean. The food and breakfast were excellent and the staff couldn’t have been any better! The area itself didn’t always feel super safe, unfortunately there were quite a number of people very obviously under the influence of substances. When we arrived at the hotel car park, the gate was blocked by people having an argument, and we saw leftover drug paraphernalia in the streets lining the hotel. Not at all the staff/hotel’s fault but just giving our true experience of our stay. In summary - excellent staff, hotel badly needs a good clean or even better a refurb, and the area surrounding didn’t feel safe although it was super central/handy to get everywhere in the city."
