Nice old fashioned hotel, the front desk guy was very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location, within walking distance of everything in Cooke City. A sweet wonderful stay.
The room was very rustic in the best way possible, lots of wood furniture, etc. The beds were comfy and the man at the front desk was great. I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
My room at The Alpine was large and clean. Great location, nice front desk staff, comfy beds and equipped with one of the most sensible hotel room coffee makers I’ve ever seen.
This is the er one time we have stayed at this place. My wife and I love it because it is close to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone. Cooke City is peaceful and we can forget about the busy city life.
We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Alpine Motel mainly to explore Yellowstone, and the location couldn’t have been better. It’s walkable to all the restaurants in Cooke City, and the Northeast Entrance is just minutes away. Getting to Lamar Valley early in the morning for wildlife viewing was easy and absolutely worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a great stay.
This was our first time staying here ! We always wanted to get the pleasure of staying here but they sale out fast ! We got in luck and purchased a two night stay and enjoyed it so much ! Beds were comfortable , bathroom was a great size , manager was a great guy and property was well managed and taken care of. Will stay again in the future for sure ! Keep up the small town feel Alpine Motel you guys are doing great !
The room was very spacious, clean and comfortablewith 2 queen beds, great quilts and big fluffy pillows. The manager, Chad, got us checked in quickly and also gave us great recommendations for dinner. The best place to stay if you're heading to out to Beartooth Pass in the early morning.
just a very nice stay, the manager did everything you could expect, and more,,just super nice people doing a great job, really enjoyed the stay in all aspects, thanks so much for a great experience

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
If you’re looking for a basic simple motel while passing through the area, this would be a good choice. The property is dated but clean and has the basic amenities needed.
The room we had was very large and the beds were amazing. We could park right at our door and even walk to the nearby restaurant. This motel was a good find and we were very impressed. It also had everything that we could need. Coffee maker, microwave and a fridge.
Room was very clean. We arrived after the office was closed. We were told to find our key in a red box on the wall. It took me a few minutes to find the stairwell to my room. It was very quiet and restful. Nice little town.
This is my second time staying here. It’s a very convenient location (5 to 10 minute drive to the park entrance). It’s right across the street from and next to convenience stores and restaurants. I look forward to my next stay here
The stay was great. The property is in an excellent location, especially if you’re there to visit Yellowstone National Park’s Lamar Valley for wildlife viewing and photography. This was my third stay there, and I look forward to staying there for my next visit to Yellowstone. It is located about 5 to 10 minutes outside the park and is right across from and next to restaurants, convenience stores and souvenir shops.
We was there before most of the town had opened for the season. Staff was very friendly and plenty of local wildlife. Had visit from friendly fox and mama moose and calf right in parking lot. If you want silence and solitude or be able to pick a star out of the sky this is the place to be. I will be back!
The room was very small, the shower area especially was very cramped. There was no soap or shampoo etc in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and clean. We were travelling and cooking our own food, but there were no facilities to do that, even though it stated BBQ area. There was only an old bbq outside the office, which is close to the main road. The location was perfect though for a stopover, or to do The Beartooth Hwy, which was spectacular with lots of snow still around. Cooke City itself is a quaint small town with wonderful mountains as the backdrop
