Great Hotel to Stay!

It was a great location with a lovely sea view from the rooms. My family and I had visited Colombo only for a day. The hotel was very comfortable and the highlight of the place was the manager of the front desk who welcomed us in the most warm manner and made us feel at place immediately as we entered! Great Rooms, very clean, highly recommended!

This was a perfect stay for me - excellent service, the room was a Club room on the 20th floor (top floor) and was very well set up with amazing views of the water. WiFi was fast and food was great! Staff were super helpful and friendly. Breakfast and dinner buffets were both really good.

We had a great stay at the Sheraton Colombo hotel. Very good breakfast, very friendly and flexible staff and very safe hotel. Big and clean hotel room with a great view. We would definately come back again. You can easily take a tuktuk infront of the hotel and see the city. We saw beautiful temples and went to a shopping mall.

We spent 7 nights at Sheraton Colombo and had a great and wonderful time. This 5 stars is a new building with modern facilities . We booked half board and the food were delicious with great choices. Hotel staff were professional and courteous all the time and bend over backwards to ensure all our needs were met. Special mentioned to Yohan @ Colombo Kitchen. One Galle Face Mall is a short tuk-tuk drive or a pleasant walk in the evening. There is a supermarket & bank next to hotel. Gym is well equipped with 24 hrs access , the sauna and steam room were of health benefits and we enjoyed it daily.

The hotel posting on Expedia was misleading re: airport pick-up and drop off. These are extra charges at exorbitant mark up, and if you ask for a taxi at the hotel, their prices are at the extreme end. I needed a taxi, 10 mins ride, the hotel said the price was Sri Lankan rupees SLR 5000, whereas “pick me” charge was less than SLR 300. Overall, the hotel is good and staff are friendly, but I do not appreciate misleading posting, hence I would only give 3 stars.

Great quality hotel, not a festive or party hotel.

The quality and comfort of the rooms is great. The staff is great. It is not a busy, active party hotel. It is a very comfortable quiet hotel with excellent staff and service. Amila, the manager demonstrated exceptional service as I was leaving the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful and rooms are very well decorated. The only drawback is the bathroom shower door which opens outside and the floor becomes slippery after shower. I asked for a nonslip mat but there was none.
