Brilliant! Must stay!
Absolutely brilliant, the staff are so kind and helpful and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Very clean room and had all the amenities we needed. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly if you’re staying in Colombo.

Really great hostel! More like a hotel with dorms, very modern and in a really nice location. Got friendly with the all the staff, they are super super friendly and will help guide and assist you with whatever it is that you wish to do, couldn’t recommend the place more. Very nice to meet other guests from all over the world also! They have water you can purchase water there or if you have your own bottle there is free filtered water. It was clean also, showers, toilets all good 😊

C1 Fort is the BEST place to stay when visiting Colombo, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 They have dorm rooms starting at $7USD/night, two twin bed with balcony, double bed with balcony and family rooms with three beds.

Excellent. Friendly, helpful, professional staff. Clean. Modern decor. Air conditioning throughout. Large police presence at the moment on street due to proximity of the presidents home, but protests are extremely peaceful (despite the media reporting otherwise - do not trust that!). This is probably the safest time to ever visit Colombo! I highly recommend staying here.

Definitely book here. I have stayed in most hotels around Colombo now and I find this hostel to be the biggest surprise that I wish I had found long ago! Beautiful, modern decor. Simple rooms with nice linen, comfy beds and air conditioning. Bathrooms are regularly cleaned. The entire hostel is very clean and comfortable. The staff are welcoming, friendly and professional. I enjoyed my stay and will return again. Highly recommended. Value for money is 100/10

Decent choice for the price!
Simple but relatively modern rooms in Fort area near Dutch Hospital restaurants and cafes. Room was clean and shower was good. Check in was quick and friendly. Reasonable rates.

pros: - centrally located; it is in an area which I find very peaceful even at night; very close to the Dutch Precinct too - the staff are very helpful, someone even guide me where to buy cheap souvenirs without asking any for exchange - strong wifi - nice breakfast with a nice view on the rooftop cons: - price is quite expensive - aircon seems need some cleaning as it isn't cooling properly already - the water heater doesn't heat up very much too

Wimbledon was on when I stayed there, and the owner was gracious enough to ensure that I could see it on TV in the lobby. I mention this becsuse the tournament wasn't aired on any of the regular channels, however the owner went above and beyond the call of duty to accommodate me. Thank you!

The staff is very friendly and they helped us with everything we needed since our arrival. The room was a bit smaller than expected from the pictures but all the amenities were present and our stay was pleasant.

Awesome,clean in a great location
I only stayed one night but it was a great one night. Comfortable, very modern new, clean air conditioned rooms with secure lockable luggage draws per guest. Very friendly helpful staff. Simple toast,tea,coffee and fresh fruit breakfast included. Wifi, clean showers and linen. Great location down a quiet side street, 5 min/2block walk to train station, surrounding markets, easy access to transport tuk tuks,buses 100metres to main road. Nice new rooftop area to sit relax, have breakfast. Excellent value, I highly recommend.

Really good stay central to the train station (Fort Colombo). Me and my girlfriend stayed at the hotel for one night only - we had a queen size bedroom with a balcony. We were very happy with our stay - the service was excellent and the room was really nice for what we paid - high value! Easy and simple breakfast from 07:30 - we informed them that we had to leave at 07:30 so they prepared breakfast a bit earlier for us. Nothing to complain about - plain and simple a good hotel that provides high value for what you pay.

Clean rooms, nice staff, but we booked this hotel specifically with the idea that we could enjoy the free breakfast before heading to the train station for an 8:30am train. The breakfast consisted of white bread and butter and fruit. That’s it. I don’t find only white bread a very nutritious or filling breakfast especially before a long train journey so we went to the Burger King two blocks away to get some egg sandwiches instead. It would have been nice to know ahead of time that the breakfast was only white bread so we could make other plans ahead of time rather than scramble at the last minute to find something better. Overall a pleasant stay except for the breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and gave us some good suggestions of things to see nearby.

Please don't go to this hostel !!!that this people explain that is hotel and not is a hotel ,by my personal experience was to bad I had to move to other hotel over 200 metres. The didn't make my reservation at all !!! My plain was coming over night !!!!and no option to wait for managers to bringme solution!! The had reservation for me 6 beds chert bath. With man's and womans!!please don't go !!!

Staff were very helpful. They went out of there way to be of assistance. .Airconditioning was good. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was adequate, fruit & some toast & coffee. Colombo Fort area is a bit of a hassle , people approaching randomly. Even the tuk tuk driver directly in front of the hotel tried well and used tricks, to get more money out of you. So be warned. We only had good experiences in using Uber but price was variable depending on demand.

The hotel seems to be new and is in very good conditions. There are no real windows in the room as they're facing an internal hall, if you're only staying one night as we did that shouldn't be a problem because you still have the light. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast consisted of toast and fruit only, but given you don't have many choices for breakfast in Colombo, I guess it was reasonable. Overall for the price you're paying it seems to be a good option for a short stay.

C1 only opened in Feb 2018 so everything is still new and clean. The staff, although seemingly inexperienced, are all eager to make guests comfortable and happy. The hotel is in an good area close to Fort railway station and the central bus station. There are decent restaurants etc nearby and a simple breakfast included
