First and foremost, Cala Galdana is one of the best beaches we've ever been to - above expectations. Impressed by the decor/vibe in the hotel, which was more elegant and upmarket than expected. Rooms clean and impressed initially... but on closer inspection the fittings quite poor (doors that don't/won't stay closed etc) and the kitchen hob basically broken and unusable - if we hadn't been half board we would've been furious. Very good quality buffet food, though 8-10pm for dinner too late - yes, it's the Spanish thing, but most guests are not Spanish and it's not like there's any entertainment or anything to do from 6 to 8pm, so just very bored and hungry in the evening waiting for dinner. 7:30-9:30pm might be a fair compromise without imposing a mandatory siesta? Similarly the pool opened quite late/closed early. Overall it's a lovely hotel in a fantastic location for a sun and beach holiday.

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Illunion Menorca. Our room was clean and comfortable. It did feel a little more basic and dated than the pictures shown online, but that wasn’t a massive problem for us. The kitchenette was okay, although lacked some essential utensils e.g a sharp knife, chopping board etc. We did mention this to the hotel and were told that they didn’t have any of this. The breakfast was good with lots of variety. There were padel courts too which was fun. The pool was good, although some of the four poster sunbeds were slightly mouldy which was a bit unpleasant, and the lifeguard sometimes wasn’t there (you need the lifeguard present to collect towels). Also, the pool opened at 11am. I’m not really sure why this was and felt a bit late in the day. One of our biggest issues was that our balcony door was incredibly difficult to open or lock. This was really frustrating as it made us not want to use the balcony in case it wouldn’t lock behind us (we had valuables in our room and I believe you had to pay to use the safe). The lock was so stiff that my partner actually broke one of her nails trying to shut it which was incredibly frustrating. We informed staff of the issue multiple times, and apart from sending maintenance to our room to lock it for us, nothing was done. This was a real shame as we would have appreciated them trying to fix the door for us. Also the WiFi was terrible and didn’t work. Disappointing for a hotel that says they have WiFi!

Property is located in Cala Galdan which has few beaches around however they all are at 30/40 min walk at least, recommend having a car. Property was good overall and the staff very welcoming. Could do better on communication, waited for a call/text when the room was ready for the check in, never got it

The hotel was just what we needed for our short stay. A clean and roomy apartment and the pool was always nice and quiet so plenty of sunbeds available. Shade was pretty minimal around the pool so you had to be lucky to get one of the cabanas with shade or the 1 umbrella. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and the staff were all lovely and very helpful.

A great home base for our stay in Cala Galdana. A short walk to the beach, several restaurant options, grocery stores, hiking trails, and more. Lots of space, clean and safe property, and very friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and our stay has been brilliant. The rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered, from receptionists to cleaning staff were really welcoming and great ambassadors for the hotel. The hotel facilities are great; the pool is lovely and padel court was a great surprise to us! No matter what time you go for breakfast, the selection of food is fresh and vast. One of the best things about the hotel is how quiet it is, so peaceful. Thank you again for another excellent stay

Excellent value for money. Apartment-style hôtel with lots of space. Nice pool area. Great breakfast. Super nice staff. There is parking at the hotel, and if it fills up plenty of space to park just outside. It’s less than 10 minute walk to Cala Galdana and perfect to reach Cala Macarella and Macarelleta without a car as well. Great food options walking distance (try restaurants Cala Mitjana, Trevi and Sa Lluna).

Hotel lobby and restaurant is really nice, they recently refurbished it. Rooms are quite nice, but they should renew bathrooms and kitchen stove is not in a good condition. We stayed for 8 days and they did not change sheets. Towels were taken away and they did not bring new ones. Overall it is quite clean. Pool is very nice, clean. Breakfast buffet it nice, but it gets quite busy after 9 and then they struggle to get everything clean for new guests

The hotel location is amazing, close to the main beaches and full of local restaurants around. The breakfast was very good! The room was big and comfortable. The only downside of the hotel is not having a very helpful staff. They were friendly and kind, but didn’t help with information about how to get to some beaches. Me and my friends lost some precious time of the trip because we were told to go to Cala Turqueta by bus, from Ciutadella. We got there and found out that the bus ticket had to be bough in advance. We lost 1h30 of that sunny day just because we were not given the correct information. So don’t expect to get information from the hotel. Also don’t expect to get any help to carry your luggage up the stairs to your room. There were a lot of stairs, especially if your room is on the last floor. Apart from that, the experience was good and we would come back!

La habitación es práctica, pero está un poco anticuada. Consideramos que tocaría ir renovándolas. Ha habido dos cosas que no nos han gustado. Por un lado, les hemos comentado 3 veces (dos en recepción y una a una chica de las que hace las habitaciones que nos comentó que avisaba) que no teníamos gel de ducha en el baño, pero no nos lo han repuesto. Por otro lado, avisamos de que salíamos hoy a las 07:30 y nos dijeron que nos preparaban un picnic al no poder desayunar en el buffet (incluido en nuestra tarifa), les dijimos que sí. Cuando hemos ido a recoger el picnic nos han dicho que no estaba apuntado y no lo tenían. En general, calidad-precio regular.

All’arrivo abbiamo riscontrato la presenza di formiche nella stanza. Ci hanno assegnato un’altra stanza, peraltro non idonea per tre persone, nella quale abbiamo subito riscontrato perdite di acqua dal pavimento con continuo allagamento. A quel punto, per fortuna ci hanno assegnato una terza stanza, questa volta idonea per tre persone e in linea con tutto quanto pagato per il soggiorno. Apprezziamo lo sforzo del personale per sistemarci adeguatamente.

Très bon séjour

Hotel très agréable, chambre spacieuse, très propre, climatisée. Coin cuisine que nous n'avons pas utilisé (avec kit vaisselle à disposition). Accueil très agréable du personnel, échanges faciles. Petit déjeuner buffet avec beaucoup de choix, et qualitatif. Salle de repas et zone d'accueil très agréablement décorées. Voyage entre amies pour 2 nuits.
