Thankfully a call led to a receptionist popping down to meet us and later taking us to a secure covered car park. Probably the town being in lockdown ahead of a visit by the King and Queen didn't help. It's a high tech hotel modern hotel built into an old building. Electric everything in the bedroom butnhadbto stumble through the dark to turn on lights because no switch by door, My wife complained about poor lighting around the mirror for doing makeup."

"No hand rail as such but rope rail on stairs. Stairs even but if you struggle with balance a bit of a problem. Breakfast extremely good.. homemade apricot and strawberry jam no too sweet. Apricot jam was outstanding. Continental breakfast well with the money."
