"When we checked in the reception staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on local travel and parking in the city. Our room on the 5th floor was lovely, clean and comfortable. We had a really good breakfast and the midday check out meant no hurry. Parking garage was safe and secure with large spaces and plenty of room. A real benefit. Thanks!"
"Big room, good amenities and great location. Desk was a little understaffed and backed up at times. Parking in same building which was very good. Location was very central with food and shopping nearby."
"The hotel is beautiful and very clean, the area is near everything walking distance.
The staff was very nice and helpful, we had an amazing weekend
Thanks"
"Hotel was very convenient whilst attending the European Rugby Finals and exploring Bilbao. Rooms were perfectly adequate for our needs though the configuration of the bathroom area was slightly unusual!
Breakfast on our first morning was very basic so we ate elsewhere after that (Definitely recommend the nearby Bramar).
Staff attitudes were quite mixed!"
"A really reallly nice hostel, each bed had its own lights and outlets. The cafe/lounge is very nice and breakfast is worth the 8 euro. Only downside is that noise travels quite easily through the building and there was a large group of teenagers having quite a lot of fun late into the night lol. Otherwise a great stay, staff are knowledgeable about the area and gave some good recommendations on pintxos. Also if you end up using the laundry... leave your clothes in the dryer for at least 2 hours"
"The Parador de Limpias is in a lovely old building with modern ‘wings’ added - we were not too sure if the modern architecture matched the historic original architecture - however, everyone has their own taste in architecture. The Parador is ideally located for the short drive back to the Santander Ferry Terminal. Our room was lovely (but no tea/coffee making equipment) and the staff were charming. There are two choices for parking - free parking in the hotel grounds a few minutes walk from the building, or right next to the hotel for a few euros a day. Do not be misled by out of date reviews on other websites - the hotel indoor pool closed three years ago! The outdoor pool looked delightful but…. it was closed, as Parador swimming pools only open on 1 June. The town is only a five minute walk away - but not much to see. We were surprised to hear very loud engine revving on the Saturday evening - we wandered into town to find that it was the prelude to the annual Limpias Road Rally - tannoys were announcing the cars and their drivers who were preparing for the next day’s rally. I had forgotten how loud rally car engines are! We made a swift retreat back to the relative tranquillity of the Parador and were then serenaded all day, next day, with the sound of cars racing around the local roads. If you like road rallies, then it will be worth visiting next year. If you like peace and tranquility then I would recommend checking the websites to definitely avoid those dates!!"
