Mrs Mae is very friendly and helpful. Checks on you to make sure everything is ok. I’d recommend it - stayed 3 weeks for work. Loved my little room!! Mrs Mae was a bonus!!
Rooms were clean. Check-in was a breeze, and the housekeeping lady is the best left her a nice tip

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
It was clean and everything worked--more than I could say for many other more expensive rooms I've stayed in. The shower was exceptionally good. Watch out for the hot water: very hot! The TV had Netflix, Hulu, Roku, & Vudu. And they worked.
On the downside, the furnishings and carpet were worn, but not terrible.

Keep your socks on - great for the price!
Our floor was very sticky, so keep your socks on. Everything else was really lovely, for the price we paid. Service was amazing, very kind and accommodating. Bathroom is old, but clean. Beds are comfy. Fridge and microwave are new and useful. If you’re looking for affordable and you won’t spend a lot of time there, Driftwood Inn is perfect.
I decided to go low-budget for my two-night stay in Chestertown (in town for the Rock Hall Triathlons). This place is convenient and an excellent choice for someone who doesn't plan to spend a lot of time in their room. Rooms are spare w/no frills. Basically four lights in the entire room (overhead, wall, bathroom, shower). Bed was reasonably comfortable. I did notice that the shower temperature control looked a little grungy on the inside; otherwise, the room was clean and fit for purpose. I would stay here again if I were seeking to economize.
For the price, I guess OK but the place is neglected- broken soap racks in bathroom, and not clean, the previous occupier had spilt coffee on the bedside table that was just left to coagulate. So not an inviting place.
Room smelled really bad. There was hair in the bathroom and only wiring where the smoke detector used to be. We used our own sheets and opted not to use the shower.
I just needed place to stsy before hunting trip. Guy knocked on door for a jump start to his car. Made me bit nervous, but he was ok. Room was dirty, smelled like car air fresheners, bathroom looked like it was from 60's, green & yellow tiles. The door looked like it was busted into a few times, latch was busted, i felt unsafe to sleep so i put a chair under the handle. Could hear neighbor business all night. Will not be staying there again. So the saying goes, "you get what you paid for"
The room was terrible. The area was terrible location. There were no toiletries in the room. We were told by the staff not to be outside late because of the prostitutes and the drug dealers in the area. The doors didnt work right on the room or batroom. Worst hotel ive ever stayed at.
Went to check in. Front lobby locked. Sign says “back in 15 minutes”.
Check-in after receptionist returns.
Go to room. Prepare to take shower and realize there are no towels.

The photos on the Hotels.com website do NOT accurately show what this place looks like now! A dude 3months ago said the lobby coffee machine was broken; it STILL is! The rooms haven't been maintained in years and were done poorly to begin with anyway. The wallpaper, that's already peeling has random pain marks all over like who ever was painting the rooms was trying out a brush. The first room I got had mildew ALL over the carpet. I alerted the woman at the front desk and they tried to say it was carpet shampoo. Yall, it was fuzzy. I'm from VA, and any southerner knows you're going to get mildew if your place isn't properly dehumidified in the summer. You could smell it. They moved me to a new room. It clearly wasn't cleaned after the last person left because there was hair all in the sink, bugs all on the bathroom floor (alive and dead). The used shampoo tubs were still on the toilet, someone left their shoes under the desk and the bed sheets had dirt in them. I noticed that the rooms had cups full of shampoo and soap bars which tells me that cleaning staff doesn't check the rooms after each guest. One of the outlets had caught on fire at some point, was never repaired and the smoke detector was pulled from the wall. And they had the audacity to ask multiple times for tips for the "cleaning staff". I probably cleaned that room better than it's seen in 30 years. I checked out early and just left the key in the room. I'm sure the place was cute in 1940, but not anymore.
