They offered a free ride to the airport from the hotel on the description but said the description was not updated, so they charged us. Bed sheets have stained.

To start off I booked this hotel primarily because hotels.com stated that it had 24 hour check in as I was landing around midnight. when we tried to check in the person at the desk behaved as if he was doing us a big favour. After some deliberations he reluctantly agreed to allow us to stay from 2 a.m. to 2 a.m. with 1 days rent. One of the main things I expect is cleanliness in the restroom and it was completely lacking, which extremely frustrated me. The towels they provided were old and torn and disgusting. Again after deliberations they provided fresh ones. Overall I wouldn't consider staying in this hotel again.

This was a one night stay to change flights in Chennai. The hotel is close to the airport and provides free friendly pick up and drop. Friendly and helpful also in providing amenities.

Chennai hotel

The hotel had no details of our booking when we arrived even though I had received a confirmation through Expedia when I made the booking months in advance. I arrived early evening after a 5 hr drive with four children and a husband who was very unwell only to be told the hotel was full. Not really the hotels fault I suppose and they did transfer us to another hotel-1star! I was told to contact Expedia for a refund-not the most helpful response when the internet connection at the Mahalaya didn't work and there is no way to contact Expedia who since haven't responded to my emails. All in all pretty annoyed that I was messed around and will be amazed if I ever receive a refund. If Expedia can't even make sure your booking is confirmed when this is the essence of their business then their company is s shambles-thoroughly unprofessional..

Good feedback from my wife & kids

My family stayed in this hotel last week and they all liked the comfort of being closer to airport and food was reasonably good. Definitely choose this place in the next visit to india.

Okay hotel to stay due to proximity to the airport

Staff were helpful, it is close to the airport. The bathroom fixtures were old, holes in the doors, and could use some renovation and upkeep. It was okay since we just stayed there for a couple of hours before having to take a flight.

The Airport Pickup and Drop was right on time. The Buffet lunch is also good. The Reception team was quite helpful to arrange the requirements. The Dinner was also too good but missing regular South Indian Items.

L'hôtel est très bien situé par rapport à l'aéroport (5 minutes en voiture). Propre, chambres spacieuses, personnel agréable, bon restaurant, bar en sous-sol atypique, avec des clips Bollywood qui défilent sur un écran géant, génial.

Good location for transfer, airport pick-up and drop-off are complimentary. Room was comfortable apart from the smell coming out from the wardrobe due to the disinfection balls kept in it.

Prepaid booking lost

We had prepaid booking for 1 night. However, when we arrived they told us they didn't get our reservation. They arranged for us stay in a different hotel. However, this hotel was of lower category, not very clean and not well equipped, approximately two times cheaper. We were not given any refund for staying in this cheaper hotel.

Experience - Needs improvised

We didn't stay at Mahalaya Residency in spite of reservation completed successfully on 12/24/2015. When we reached hotel to check-in we were notified that they don't have the confirmation. We were notified that hotel don't have reserved room for us and asked to apply for refund. After lot of efforts and coordination we ended up staying in different hotel few miles away. Over all experience is not good (hotel management has to be improvised).
