We arrived late in the evening around 10:30-11pm and the staff directed us to our room. When we got to the room we turned on the lights and were horrified to see bodily fluids on the window coverings and the walls. The carpets were torn and lifting from the floor. The room smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette in it. We did not stay there after experiencing that - immediately leaving and requesting a refund which they ultimately did not give us. Do not stay here. It is a health and safety hazard and they are crooks.

The breakfast was not good because it was nondescript cold cereal and only 2% milk in a gallon container. There was a variety of instant oatmeal and two types of breakfast bars both with chocolate in the ingredients, which I don’t eat. I believe there was coffee, which I don’t drink. My room had mold along the tub molding and the sink water didn’t run hot. The front desk and cleaning staff were accommodating. I love the area this hotel is in because I can walk to many points of interest suck as Walmart, Tanger Outlet, eateries and so much more. Safe enough to run on the sidewalk and parking lots.

This property was conveniently located right off the freeway exit. This made travel easy. There is a variety of restaurants located within a 10 mile radius to choose from. There is also an outlet mall located 5 minutes away for your shopping pleasure. There are 2 gas stations across the street and 1 a block away for fillup and late night snacking needs.

Bad experience

Honestly not the best place to stay as the room was dirty and had bad smoke odor. The staff were very nice though. Charleston seems to run out of hotels fast when tons of events are going on in town so it was the only option for the night.

Room was terrible, smelling so bad of cigaret and by de door has a blood marks what looks like some homicide happened in there, no kidding, for a $145,00 night it's horrible, but the front desk staff were actually pretty friendly.

Nice people, terrible facilities

Employees were very nice & helpful. Room smelled like a mix of cleanimg chemicals & feces. Carpet was filthy. Everything felt damp. Obviously not well constructed & needs updating very badly. Temp control was also essentially non-functional.

I gave it a two star instead of one because staff was nice and helpful. The rooms was dirty and smelled. We had to ask to be moved to another room because it smelled so bad, the second room didn’t smell as bad. However it was dirty. Mold on the tiles in the shower and what looked like blood on the walls in the bathroom. Looks like someone had a Valentine there the night before because there were heart shape decorations on the floor, I’m assuming the carpet was vacuum. But I also understand you get what you pay for.

Comfy room. Hospitality needs improvement

The room was clean and comfortable. However, check in took longer than necessary. Because the motel was being renovated, the office was closed and we had to register through the window. The clerk had to walk from her desk to the window several times during the check in process. The credit card machine was slow as well. Our hair dryer in the room did not work. The clerk said she would tell someone, but no one came to fix or replace it. I was going to a wedding and would have like to blow dry my hair, but had to manage without a dryer.
