The staff demonstrated high attentiveness without the overwrought, hammy nonsense that you receive throughout India. Instead, the staff seemed kind and dignified - an attitude commensurate with the beauty of the facility. The hotel advised us, at checkin, that we should not tip anyone until checkout - at which time, the hotel would share our tip across...

"I enjoyed my stay at the Krishna Prakash Haveli very much. The staff worked hard to make sure the place was clean and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the area was walkable to the clock tower, markets and Fort, if you don't mind a little uphill. I actually walked halfway to the Fort every morning to see the sunrise. "Train was delayed six hours. Arrived at midnight. Friendly welcome. Couldn't be more helpful. Clean and comfortable room. Food available though it's a bit of a mystery where and when. Just ask. Rooftop terrace has a nice view of the Fort and the railway station. Train noise will be an issue for some. It's a 24 hour operation."
