"All staff were excellent. Issues were with the property, that has a 4 star ranking. No room service, no included breakfast, parking charges, $20 for a glass of wine in downstairs bar, overpriced restaurant on top level, cheap uncomfortable pillows, housekeeping upon request, hot water in the shower after leaving on for 10-15 minutes, no microwave, no minibar, two very small drawers, no turndown service, bathroom sinks do not drain properly, room temperature will not go below 66 degrees....

"The room looked to be remodeled with new floor, new bathtub surround, new sink, new mirror, new toilet, new TV stand and TV. Mattress was not comfortable for me. The phone in the room did not work. Housekeeping was zero. Bath, hand and wash towels were present at check in. No housekeeping on the second day. Had to get clean towels from the front desk. "I got there about 11pm and it took a few rings of the bell for them to come out and check me in. Once I got my key, I had to drive to behind the man building and it was kind of hard to see because there were no signs or street lights. Once I got into my room I was hit with an overwhelming smell of fabuloso cleaner. This is usually a sign of a clean space but it felt overkill for the room to still be so untidy. As someone with sensitive lungs this REALLY made it hard to sleep. I ended up having...

"EXTREMELY dated! Found a dead bug on my bedspread after the first night. Bathroom full of mold. Breakfast options limited. Front desk staff not friendly. Will not go back."

"The room we stayed in was filthy. Ordered a non-smoking room and it smelled like an ashtray. Something that looked like blood on the wall in the bathroom. Sheets and towels were clean but that was about it. When I picked up the key at the front desk - the lobby had the aroma of marijuana. So I assume that the clerk was probably high. paid $77 & some change. Not worth 20$ Do not recommend."

"The hotel itself is comfortable but we had asked for late checkout the night before we were to leave and were told we could stay until 1pm. At 11am the housekeeper knocked on the door, and then at 11:35 the front desk called and said we needed to be out by noon or we’d be charged for a half day, and that there was nothing in the computer about late checkout. It was a very stressful end to our trip."

"The Spartanburg Marriott is a lovely place in great condition with high end finishes in the common areas, a convenient parking garage on site, clean and comfortable rooms and a helpful staff. We've stayed multiple times, for one night at a time, when passing through the area. It's worth the short drive from the interstate to stay in a place that is quiet and welcoming. We'll be staying there again, and again."
