With new safety guidelines in place, travel looks a little different at present. Here's what you need to know before you head off to Central Highlands:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before locking in your flight. Also check if there are any requirements you'll need to follow on arrival, such as testing and quarantining.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA officer will require you to adjust your mask for ID purposes.
• Instead of handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• You're permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be taken out for X-ray scanning.
• Place any personal items (like your phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on rather than a bin to minimize handling during screening.
• Transport your food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Keeping food separate from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA officer will need to open your bag for inspection.
