Excellent service
Marco and Chiara helped us out of a tight spot, calling and negotiating with taxis on our behalf after a very short-notice flight diversion. They couldn't have been more sympathetic or helpful. They restored us with coffee, and even checked up on us afterwards.

This is a family owned property, perfectly located, 3 minutes walking from the Cathedral and Via Eatna, the main street. The room offers everything you need for a great stay: comfortable bed with air conditioner, great bathroom with its own water heater and amenities. The owner Marco goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay and have what you need, to the extend of offering to get us meds at the pharmacy when my wife was not feeling well. You're treated as family by Marco. I highly recommend his hotel and will return on my next vacation.

Great location and staff but lacking on comfort
Great location for walking and a great price, but left a lot to be desired. The side street walk up wasn't great, but that isn't really much of an issue. The staff was nice and friendly, room was well sized and in good shape. But the bed was rock hard and the first night I barely slept. If you can't deal with hard beds, you need to avoid this place. The shower uses a very small heater that only allows for a few minutes of a hot shower. The staff did not make it clear to us how the shower worked, so the first nice I took a freezing cold shower and slept on a rock hard bed. My girlfriend showered first, not knowing about the limited water. After a 5-10 minute shower, we were out of hot water. When we got it working the second day, the showers were short and the water was either boiling hot or ice cold. It was terrible. Considering how important a warm shower is, this ruined my experience. Aside from that, the bed was cheap, hard and terrible. The staff was VERY friendly and nice and did the best they could, but it was't enough. The maid opened our door at 930am without knocking while we were laying in bed. Walls were paper thin. Really *could* have been nice, but it just wasn't. Will not return.

En-suite bathroom, in-room HI-FI, in-room fridge, latest generation air conditioning and last but not least H25 mattresses with a layer of memory (which use from 4 stars upwards). Market price 1,500.00 per mattress (Hard yes but not cheap)Rooms sanitized with machinery suitable for each customer change (for our safety and yours) for which we received compliments from the ASP, DURING AN INSPECTION, which informs us that not all hotels or b&bs use it.We work with a laundry that certifies the hygiene of all the material supplied to us.We rely on a cleaning company that works only with 3-star hotels and up. Great Location and Hosts
I'm not the kind of person who needs much from a room. If you want all kinds of extras that are usually unnecessary then keep looking. If you want a clean place that's comfortable, good air conditioner, excellent location, and with friendly helpful hosts, then book this place. I can't stress enough how good a location this place is, you are probably no more than a 12 minute walk from just about every major site in the city. And if friendly hosts matter to you, people you can talk to and ask advice from etc, then you won't get better.

Fantastic location. Right in the historic city centre near the famoous Teatro Bellini, wirh excellent restaurants virtually on the door stop. Grear base for walking the historic centre. 1 min to St Agatha's, the Cathedral, 3mins to the famouse fish market. Host hss eccellent English ans is very accomodating. Basic but excellent. I would not hesitate in recommending.

The owners are wonderful, helpful and friendly. The hotel, in an old building in a neighborhood which ia on the edge and a bit off putting, is quite comfortable and convenient, being around the corner from the opera house and near to the Duomo. A 15 minute walk to the train station. The room was simple, large and very clean.If you're on a budget this is a great place to stay, It won't be for everyone, but for us was just right. And as I said the owners are great.

The place was not stylish but was clean, practical, and well-located, and owned by a husband and wife of the finest character. I arrived after an extremely stressful, long and tiring journey after a tour bus mixup resulted in me hiking over 10 miles in the sun with insufficient food and water. I was stressed out, emotional and exhausted. The owners were kind, compassionate, and reasuring, and sent me to freshen up, rehydrate, and get some rest. In the morning they helped me to reconnect with my daughter who had gotten stuck in the airport overnight and send us off to a local place for a delicious meal, some light sightseeing, and with instructions to have some relaxation and fun - with minimal exertion (no long hikes) for at least a day or so! The place lacked sophistication, but I wouldn't have stayed anywhere else. You can't put a price on kindness, caring, and true hospitality.

Right where you want to be in Catania
We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel. The owner/manager? was very helpful, and could answer all of our questions. She spoke English very well. The location is great, very close to the Duomo. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi would not work in the room, only in common areas. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel in older downtown neighborhood.
Owners were very friendly, gave us good advice on where to eat, where to tour, parking, etc. This is a very old building in downtown neighborhood, but rooms were modern and comfortable.

The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, The location is central and though it was quiet whilst we were there in winter I can see how it could be noisy during summer due to the nearby bars. The room was good and the price represented good value.

A lovely central place to stay
We really liked this place, simple, very clean, good shower and hot water and in a very central location. The owners, Alice and Guiseppe are hard-working, good, friendly and helpful people. They both speak good English, and German and I think some other languages too. Ask them for where to eat out etc., their advice was perfect. The Internet was a bit problematic sometimes but that was not Alice and Giuseppe's fault and they were very helpful resetting the router. To find the hotel, ask for/ get to the Bellini opera house. Facing the theatre from the Piazza, go through the left hand arch next to theatre and the hotel is 25 metres on your left.

Excellent location! Great value!
The hotel is only steps away from Piazza Bellini and maybe a 5 minute walk to Piazza Duomo. There are lots of great restaurants nearby. Giuseppe will will gladly tell you where the locals go. Ask about the arancini at Savia and the Pentolaccia. Though quiet in the day, the area rocks at night. It's the place to be if you're young at heart!!! Most importantly, you get excellent value for the modest price of the room. I'll be returning in 2 weeks for my third stay in 1 year.

Un buon punto d'appoggio!
Abbiamo pernottato in questo albergo soltanto una notte ed il suo punto di forza è certamente la posizione centrale praticamente a due passi da via Etnea. La struttura è sostanzialmente un edificio antico tipico dei centri storici dunque gli spazi e le camere sono state riadattate per accogliere gli ospiti- La nostra camera era una doppia con balconcino e bagno privato. Peccato per il mobilio veramente vecchio ed essenziale ma la pulizia è da 10 e lode! Ottimo per chi è interessato più alla visita della città che altro. Cosa che personalmente abbiamo molto gradito è stato il parcheggio interno al cortile che ci ha permesso, con un costo irrisorio extra, di lasciare la macchina in tutta tranquillità e senza problemi. I proprietari davvero gentilissimi!

לא להגיע לפה בחיים!
תעשו לעצמכם טובה ואל תגיעו למלון הזה. זו אכסניית נוער רועשת, במיקום חשוך ברחוב צדדי. מיטה הכי לא נוחה בעולם, אין מים חמים, אין בכלל אינטרנט, ושירות אחד הגרועים שנתקלתי בו. כל מה שרשום עליהם והתמונות- לא נכון בכלל! הזמנתי ל- 8 לילות וברחתי משם אחרי יומיים. חבל שלאחר דיונים עם מנהל המלון והחברה אפילו לא טרחו לפצות אותי על עוגמת הנפש. מקום מזעזע.

cara signora finger: ci dispiace dover essere arrivati al punto di doverle anche rispondere, al suo posto avrei evitato di lasciare un commento, dopo il comportamento tenuto. Intanto non siamo un ostello e i nostri ospiti sono tutte persone gradevolissime, siamo in pieno centro attaccati al teatro bellini, è arrivata in mattinata e le abbiamo fatto il check-in anticipato senza problemi, il suo dispositivo era l'unico che non riusciva a collegarsi, tutti gli altri ospiti usavano il wifi e internet senza problemi, le abbiamo cambiato la stanza senza che lei lo chiedesse per favorirla, l'acqua calda c'è e infatti le garantiamo che i nostri ospiti si lavano tutti senza problemi. Abbiamo rimborsato a hotel.com 3 notti di prenotazione per nostra volonta anche se non eravamo tenuti a farlo,(solo per essere sicuri che lei andasse via il prima possibile, col suo comportamento non era di sicuro un'ospite gradito), le foto e tutto il resto corrispondono alla realta dei fatti, sta a chi prenota capire se il luogo è adatto alle sue aspettative o meno. Le consigliamo la prossima volta di prenotare nuovamente un 4 stelle come la sua volta precedente a catania e non rendere difficile il lavoro di chi non incontra le sue esigenze.

Une bonne surprise
L'hôtel ne paie pas de mine de l'extérieur, et pourtant les prestations sont plus que convenables et il m'a convenu parfaitement: accueil très sympathique par la patronne qui parle français, chambre absolument impeccable et spacieuse, très bonne situation dans Catane. Le prix me semble très raisonnable par rapport aux prestations. Bref j'étais ravie.
