Our hosts were simply magnificent! Don went 'above and beyond', driving us to pick up our car, which we'd left in Geeveston after attending a 50th birthday party the previous evening. The self-contained apartment is large and comfortable. They even provided beautiful home-grown blackberries and delicious cherries, on top of the usual breakfast items.

It was a short walk from the parking area to the unit. The wood panels and wood floor were interesting aspects of the accommodation. The unit was spacious with separate kitchen, downstairs table/eating area and adjacent lounge room. It was cold during the visit so although there was a great view of the nearby river from the outside table/eating area, we did not venture there at mealtime. The surrounding gardens were meticulously cared for and the range of plants present worth a look. The nearby tavern, the only meal option nearby, served good meals.

Very very good

So well appointed. Every need has been anticipated, from the umbrella outside your door in case of rain to the Christmas tree in the lounge for the festive season and the home made fruit cake slices for supper. There is nothing I could suggest to make this more comfortable.

We loved our stay at Donalea. Second time there and it won't be our last. Attention to detail is first class. Breakfast was really well catered. Homemade preserves & breads, stewed fruits, yoghurt and a variety of cereals. Nothing too much trouble. Comfy bed, a view to wake up to and beautiful garden to roam. Can't rate high enough. Country serenity at Donalea Bed and Breakfast

Amazing accommodation tucked away in a country atmosphere with water views. The accommodation was large with a seperate bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and loungeroom making the living space very comfortable. Although close to the road it was exremely quiet and serence. Very lean and well equipped accommodation. Highly recommend.

Nice 2 bedroom unit!

Very nice unit, clean and cosy. The unit was very cold when we arrived in rain and after a long drive, it took a good 2-3 hour to warm up the entire unit, no heating in both rooms but the electric blanket was sufficient. A heater would be an improvement in the bathroom. All in all a good place especially for family.

Terrific B & B, host's were very welcoming. Had the 2 bedroom suite, very cosy, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice with cereals, yogurts, fruit, toast, milk, etc. Heating worked very well during the cold period we had. All in all, a great location to discover the Huon district.

We booked at the last moment and weren’t really sure what we were getting but very pleasantly surprised, a lovely country cottage feeling with nice views of the garden and river. Everything you could want in the kitchen, big bathroom and comfortable lounge room. The beds were comfortable and best of all they had electric blankets.
