Good place for long term stay.
This hotel is very well located 200 yards from the beach and the main avenue where shops and restaurants are. It has good amenities on property, from outdoor pool, restaurant, cocktail and snack bar, minigolf and a grocery store. It has decent 1 bedroom apartments with a small kitchen, the only downfall was no microwave available for kitchens. Xons is a very food place for familes due to overall location and what if offers with really good price.

Very old place. This hotel needs to be renovated, specifically the plumbing. Dirty floors and the bathroom smelled like sewage. Hair in the tub. Very bad experience. The location of the hotel was the only great thing of our stay.

Lovely stop on our journey.
We missed having no kettle,toaster,bottle opener,microwave,grill or oven. Reception staff were fine. Hotel is dated but we expected that. Views from higher floors fabulous. Empuriabrava is a place I will go back to, the center has a lovely atmosphere and beach is gorgeous.Boating is amazing.

Over all pleased with the hotel
We got a really good deal, although not our first choice and we were not expecting much we were extremely surprised as to the value for money we got. The hotel was ideally placed for the beach and the shops. Supermarket right next door and plenty of restaurants and shops next door. Wifi not great the higher up you go in the hotel. We were on level 9 and asked to move and the staff were great and very helpful and moved us instantly to a better room. Kids entertainers were very friendly around the pool with evening activities available if you wanted. Pool a little dated, small and basic. Overall pleased with the hotel

Good enough for a nights stay
I booked this place just as we arrived in Spain from a long drive from France. The twown wasn’t much to look at, the hotel was very basic, the bathroom door wouldn’t close and slightly off the hinges. The beds had rubber sheets which were nosy and a bit weird, the “ocean view” was only a view when you walked out on the terrace and leaned over to the right. The breakfast buffet is an absolute don’t, it’ll destroy your day and is a waste of 6€. I would skip this area and certainly the hotel.

The location is very good, close to everything and that's it - hotel is very dated and the check-in took more then a 1/2 hr as there was only one receptionist that also had to take phone calls.

Dirty scummy cheap apartment.
I have seen public housing in better shape than this hotel. First it is filthy. Cob webs in multiple corners. Shabby furniture with water damaged legs. Hard mattresses with PLASTIC sheets. What hotel puts plastic sheets on the bed? Dirt in corners. Dirty around toilet. Shower scum and moldy tub. Took photos of how bad it was but not able to upload. Tried to tell front desk without any response. Internet to slow to check email or complete a booking without timing out. It is no more than indoor camping.

free wifi was sometimes very slow possibly due to the amount of people trying to access it Hotel was great overall and very close to the sea. swimming pool was a good size, as was our room, furnishings are now looking a little tired but air con worked well and the room was kept clean by the staff

Stay away from this place!
Probably the worst hotel my family. Needs immediate renovation. Bathroom was particularly dirty. Breakfast buffet's quality was appalling. Rotten tomatoes as well as broken eggs on display. We hardly ate anything. Someone else complained to the staff and order a fried egg as he could "not eat any of this stuff". Only positive was the sea view and the polite lady at the reception during checking in.

Stopping point on a Costa Brava tour. Worth seeing the canals, but I'd recommend staying in Roses, Cadaqués, or another town nearby.

Room very cold - air conditioner only heated the lounge/dining area. One bed had not been changed - had snad and hair in it. Limited kitchen facilities - no electric jug, no microwave, no toaster, no oven, no dishwashing sponge or liquid or teatowel. Two solid electric hotplates. Bathroom had small bath. Large apartment with two bedrooms, and lounge/dining/kitchen. Maybe OK in summer. No wifi in room.

Skydiving trip to Empuriabrava
One night in Empuriabrava for some skydiving and windtunnel flying. Nice hotel for the price and very big room! For budget travellers its definitely a good choice.

Some rooms noisy but FIRST CLASS staff
Only a two night excursion with the family. Looking for a kid friendly hotel with pool. Not disappointed in that respect and got pretty much what we were expecting, no frills "holiday camp" type place. Down side was on the first night our room faced a street with some sort of night club which went all until dawn so despite being 7th floor it was incredibly noisy and sleep was at best difficult. Upside was that when we asked for a move (bearing in mind we are only staying two nights I was not over hopeful) the reception staff COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL and we got a much quieter room overlooking the pool. For your reference, from the front door: Right hand side very noisy, front of hotel main road second noisiest, left hand is side street so better and rear overlooking pool is best.

Good location, but ...
The hotel is situated in a very nice location with plenty of activities. The facilities are not very pleasing, and seem to be dated back at least 20 years without many updates. If a pin drops on another floor, you will know. The place is quite noisy. Most occupants seemed to be various European families spending time by the sea. The rooms are apartment style with small kitchen/dining/living room area, nice size balcony, bathroom, and a separate bedroom. It could be classified as suites in the US.

Staff was friendly and seemed helpful. Building built of concrete with echoing slammed doors, and even talking amplified. Furnishings were minimal at at the end of there useful life. Unconformable bedding.

TERRIBLE SERVICE AT RECEPTION ON CHECK IN
I booked on Hotels.com for 2 adults and 2 children under 18 as the web site allows me to. I arrived at the hotel and they told me that this hotel considers 12+ year olds as adults and that I had to pay extra for this. I refused to do so and argued with the hotel operator for a while and she was very rude about the whole situation. To the extent that she said she didn't care if I came back to this hotel or not. I said that I had a booking from hotels.com and had no problems with other hotels ever. eventually she upgraded us to a 2 BR apartment. The hotel was in a good location and the rooms were fine... but the first impression was terrible.

The area is great, opposite some decent bars and near the beach. Views from the balcony were great and just above a 'Spar' which is handy. The room was very simple, the TV was more of a prop than for viewing. The beds were very solid. The morning breakfast lady was very rude and treated the bread as if it came out of her wages but apart from that our stay was pleasant. Very good value for money and if you don't plan on spending much time in your room it's ideal.

Worst hotel we stayed at, and not as advertised
I booked a room with "3 single beds" for 3 adults, and intentionally excluded all the hotels that did not specify the sleeping arrangements as such. When we arrived we were given a room with 2 twin beds and a couch. I went back to the front office and told them that I specifically made the reservation for "3 single beds" and showed them the description on Expedia. The girl went to the back office for a few minutes and when she returned she said there was nothing she could do and told me to complain to Expedia. I think the description was intentionally misleading. Additionally, the room lack some basic amenities (e.g., soap, shampoo) and the hotel smelled, presumably from the buffet in the cafeteria. On the other hand, the patio was furnished and we greatly enjoyed the jazz music that played across the street from our patio. It was also within 25 minutes drive of the Salvador Dali museum, which was great.

HORRENDOUS !! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER
We arrived in Empuriabrava to discover that the hotel was in no way near what the Expedia Website or reviews stated. The hotel was completely run down, the room did not appear anything like their photos. We had a 1 bedroom unit with two wide sofas in the main area that were to act as additional beds. They were absolutely disgusting and totally stained with who knows what. There was a hole in the bedroom door, kitchen cabinets were hanging off the hinges, the shower/bathtub was not big enough to fit a 5 year old child in and the shower head was broken so water flew everywhere when turned on. The hotel staff was extremely rude and ignorant and did nothing to offer any sort of assistance for ANYTHING !!. They even charged you for all additional items you needed, included more towels, the safe, the parking. Every time you turned around they were charging you. The so called pool appeared as though it had not been cleaned in weeks and to top it off the entertainment played until 2 am and kept everyone awake. This hotel was completely regretable and I would not wish it upon my worst nightmare. The attitude of the people in this town and Spain in general was a complete turn off and we will never be back to visit.

Check the location beforen arrival
Great location. Finding it initially a bit confusing but that was our not understanding the Spanish address format. Street/Town first or last. Suggest google mapping it prior to arrival. Similar or identical street names in similar or identical town names confused the TomTom and us.

Worth a try
The tile floors were dirty and the bed was VERY hard. Everyone in my trip complained about the beds. But the view from our balcony was great and the price was good. Right near the beach and Skydive Empuriabrava. The breakfast was satisfactory and cheap.

Unfortunately, while being very clean and presentable it had as much soul as a council tower block. Anyone who booked thinking they would be able to self cater would be disappointed at the lack of equipment, two slow electric rings and a fridge, a TV without a remote and no manual function. The walls were very thin with no sound insulation so you could hear people moving and "partying" all night. This was in January when the town is quiet so I don't know what it would be like in high season. On the upside, the view was great and it's very inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for.

Wish I could have slept in the Lobby
The lobby was the only thing this hotel had going for it. Rooms were outdated and dingy. There was hair in the bed and the showers didn't drain. Hallways were extremely loud. Free Parking is on the street. Hope you get it! Not worth staying at.

Hotel personeel was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Ook fijn dat ze engels konden praten. Ligging van het hotel was perfect, strand, winkels, restaurants alles was op loop afstand. Fijn dat er een airco aanwezig was is in het appartement met de hitte. De appartementen mogen wel een keer vernieuwd worden. Deuren en ramen die niet goed sluiten. Douchekop zat los, maar voor de rest was alles aanwezig wat je nodig had. Groot nadeel was het lawaai snachts buiten van harde muziek en blaffende honden maar daar kan het hotel niets aan doen. Al met al hebben wij heerlijk genoten van onze vakantie.
