Very European apartment style, spacious room, well equipped with everything we need. Staff was very helpful. Super close to train station. Good room for a good price!

It is typical French hotel. Quirky in parts but has everything you need and the staff are very helpful.

Siege of Old City
It is conveniently located about 2 blocks from public parking of which is 7€ a day and under cover, so car stays cool. It is about 5 minutes from the town plaza with many restaurants and 20 minutes from the Old City and so many more restaurants. There is a Carrefour on the town plaza where you can buy snacks and drinks for your excursions.

The location was close to the train station. Walkable distance to to the main sights. The staff are friendly. The room was comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities one would need such as an electric water kettle and a hair dryer. I enjoyed my stay there.

The nicest, friendliest reception. Huge very clean room. Very comfortable. Fairly old but not in disrepair. Very good continental breakfast.

Had some issues with a tour booking, and the receptionist immediately called the tourism office for me to sort it out (but unfortunately they were closed). Very nice people and pleasant to deal with. The only downside would be that my room did not have a desk to work on. Besides the night stands, there was one desk-height table, but it was so narrow that it could only fit the table and nothing else.

Great value for the money. The property is in the Bastide neighborhood making it accessible to many historical sites and an easy and scenic walk to the medieval fortress. Parking was easy. The room was clean and decent size consisting of an entry, shower room, WC, and the primary room with a view over the rooftops of the Bastide. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

I was very happy with my experience in this hotel. I was delighted to see tea and coffee making facilities. The room was spotless and air conditioning was so good. It did say there was a bar which I did not see, that may have been my only down point. It may have been there, but it was not pointed out to me. Very friendly staff. I will return

Welcoming hotel, spotlessly clean.
This a great wee hotel in a good spot for the town centre, train station and canal. The rooms are a decent size, spotlessly clean, there's a lift, a fridge and tea coffee etc in the room. The receptionist was really helpful with restaurant recommendations and maps etc. We had to leave early so didnt opt for breakfast. Its not a luxury hotel but superb value friendly and welcoming

Very close to the train station, with shops and bars in a short walk, I'd rather have this affordable cost with a short walk (20 mins) to the walled city. Plenty of history as well in this area as well as places to see. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Most importantly I slept well.

This was what I was expecting for the cost and based on past reviews. Very close to train station, which was convenient for us, and we had a good dinner at Chez Fred just a block away. Comfortable enough, with the expected elements, and very friendly staff. Like many small hotels, the room had a few quirks, the most annoying one, which was common in France, was a toilet in its own little room/closet with no sink to wash hands. You have to go across the room to a separate shower/sink room. I’d rather a sink nearer the toilet.

Lovely place
I loved the hotel. Great location, about 20 minute walk to the walled city. Nice neighborhood and close to train station. Employees were great. Price was awesome. My only issue was that I had to take a lukewarm shower. Very comfortable room.

Modest hotel at a modest price
As you’d expect from the price and star rating, it’s not got many facilities and the rooms are a bit tired but everything was clean, everything worked, it’s handy for the train station, lower town and canal and Madame was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was ok if a little expensive for the variety but I decided to have it because it was easier than going in search of breakfast on a Sunday and my last day in Carcassonne

Basic hotel; clean but a little over-priced
The staff were welcoming but the hotel is very basic. The room facilities were sparse with an unusual layout, and not particularly comfortable. We don't think it is value for money. It is a little far out for the main places of interest.

The hotel is close to the train station and we could leave our luggage there while sight seeing which was very convenient for us. The room is large and so is the bathroom. The area is quiet. The bed is very comfortable. We had a very nice stay there.

Decent hotel in a good location

Hotel is wonderfully located easy walking to a bunch of sites and to the castle. Room is small but just fine. Front desk service was friendly. Downside : walls are SUPER thin so you can hear everything from the room above/below and to the sides.

Pleasant place close to train station.
Close to shops, train station and restaurants.Nothing negative about the hotel comes to mind. Carcassonne is a place anyone interested in medieval places simply MUST visit.

Carcassonne marathon base hotel
Stayed here for 3 nights as a base for the Carcassonne Marathon on 4th June 2017. Really pleased with the decision to stay here. The room was great - tv (no channels in English but not too bothered), tea and coffee provided with a kettle in the room (excellent). Clean and airy. Nice window for letting the breeze in and really spacious separate toilet and shower room. Bed comfy. Quite a lot of bells from the local church but we stayed on a religious holiday weekend. However, other than that, very quiet and really close to shops and restaurants, the train station etc. The old city is about 20-25 minute walk but in summer there's a petite train that goes from near the park in front of the station to the old city and back. 3rd hotel i've stayed in and this was the best by far. Didn't stay for breakfast but looked very good. Wi-fi was good too.

Excellent location.
Only a few short blocks from train station, canal du midi and center square. Nice breakfast Quirky but clean rooms. If you book thru .com site make sure you get single ensuite as I didn't but helpful desk fixed it.

Great stay!
Great stay. Wanted to extend but they were fully booked. Lovely renovated room with all new fittings. Noise was noticeable from the road and from inside although we were only there to sleep so not too much of an inconvenience. One recommendation to the owner would be to get 'do not disturb' signs for the doors as we overslept one morning and staff nearly opened our door.

I'm going back there
Zera is the owner and she is present every day. She does everything possible to help, no matter what your needs. She is kind and patient and runs a spotless establishment. Zera speaks good basic English and it is therefore easy to communicate with her - a big plus! She is also well versed in local transport schedules and local attractions.
