Dongola was perfect. I was attending some Wedding functions in the area and The Dongola was my oasis. The staff were all extremely helpful and respected the privacy I needed but were there when I needed assistance. I could not recommend highly enough.

Das Dongola House ist wahrlich ein verstecktes Juwel mitten in einer Oase. Der Erholungswert dieses Hotels ist außergewöhnlich hoch – perfekt für eine Auszeit vom Alltag. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Familienfreundlichkeit: Schon vor unserer Ankunft wurden wir gefragt, welche Art von Bett wir bevorzugen, was uns sehr entgegenkam. Das Frühstück war ein absoluter Höhepunkt unseres Aufenthalts. Die hochwertigen Speisen, insbesondere das Müsli und die Omeletts, waren köstlich und liebevoll zubereitet. Ein weiteres Highlight sind die Gastgeber, Claudio und seine Frau. Sie waren äußerst gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit, was unseren Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht hat. Wir können das Dongola House wärmstens empfehlen und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch!

Divine Dongola House

Wonderful people (Sally, Mike, Natalie and co!), attention to detail, beautiful views! The owners, Sally and Mike, have travel and hospitality in their blood. Plenty of tips for local sightseeing, travel and more, from both Mike and Sally... Free upgrades on both our check-ins (yes, we came back for more!). And, trust Mike to serve you the best breakfast in town, topped off with some caviar!! Wonderful to see everyone chipping in to make you feel at home.

Very obliging and solicitous hosts who let us in very early. Comfortable room and lovely views. Fairly easy to find and good things to do nearby, as well as being well-placed for trips around the Cape and Cape Town area. Would definitely stay again.

One of my best stays ever

The room, the hospitality, staff, breakfast - everything about Dongola House was just fantastic. I have never been so glad that I decided to stay over the night before rather than fly in early for a meeting in Cape Town. What a wonderful place!

Excellent guest house

Excellent guest house run by super-friendly ex-pat British couple. Lovely rooms, breakfast and strong w-fi signal. High point, aside the service, was the proper swimming pool that you could swim in (as opposed to the plunge pool 'swimming pools' so commonly found.

Einfach nur schön!

Es war so schön. Eine herzlicher Empfang, der Ausblick ein Traum. Zimmer sehr sauber und gemütlich. Es fehlte an nichts. Auch die guten Tipps von Sally waren sehr hilfreich.

A very nice guesthouse near Capetown

The guesthouse is situated in a very quiet and green area, just outside Capetown. The big size rooms have a lot of comfort and the garden has a pool and a beautiful view. The breakfast is very nice with all fresh ingredients and the food is made and served wit a lot of attention. The owners and manager take very good care of you. This place feels like coming home. A perfect place to discover Capetown, Cape of Good Hope and all the beautiful areas around Capetown. We definitely will come back here.

Suite B&B in a lovely surrounding

Very well located between Good Hope Cape and Cape Town City; we booked the suite for 3 people and were upgraded to an additional room for our daughter. Breakfast was amazing, thanks Sally and Mike for your warm welcome and very good advice

Awesome stay

Beautiful house with amazing service. Enjoyed the fire to warm up in the rainy weather. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable. But the care and service really was what sets this apart. Close to excellent Constantia wineries. While downtown Cape Town and the Airport are relatively near by, the relaxed location and view from the room feels far away.

Perfect place to stay

Lovely guest house run wonderfully well by Mike and Sally. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we had a great 6 nights there. The room was very comfortable, lovely patio and pool, delicious breakfasts - just what we needed. Constantia is a great place to be too.

Best Guest House/B&B Ever!

We spent 8 great days at Dongola Guest House and were absolutely pleased with and amazed by the high level of service and comfort. Sally and Mike are incredibly gracious hosts who go above and beyond to help and please their guests. Would not hesitate to stay at Dongola again and highly recommend it for a wonderful stay in Cape Town!

Wonderful guesthouse!

My husband and I stayed at several places during our holiday in Cape Town but this one was by far our favorite! The staff was amazing and made our stay really memorable and personable. They even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The breakfast was delicious and the service was on par with any five star hotel. Mike was always more than happy to offer suggestions and advice for what to do around Cape Town. Knowing how much we loved the tea they served at breakfast, he surprised us with a package of the tea as a parting gift! Can't say enough about how wonderfully we were treated during our stay. Would highly recommend this accommodation to any visitor. Everything was clean and the location was safe and quiet. Parking is gated and we did not have any problems driving through the area even at night.
