"This is a fabulous location and the room was pretty big for an older hotel - no real ambiance but roomy & comfortable. There was some fairly significant construction going on during our stay, which meant the parking garage was closed – that would’ve been nice to know ahead of time because we probably wouldn’t have rented a car for our entire stay. The construction was also noisy the 1st morning & led to fire alarms going off early the next morning and the elevator being out of commission the day we checked out. In general, it didn’t seem like the staff was terribly concerned about any of these things and the service just wasn’t great. The property is a little worn but charming, and it really is a great location for exploring little Italy and super quick ride from the airport and easy access to the trolley for going downtown/to the ballpark or to old town to explore. Great option if you want to skip the rental car and just explore what is available to you within walking/trolley/lyft distance.. I probably would’ve rated a bit higher where it not for the construction and lack of communication/care from the staff."

"This is an enormous hotel. My room was large, and very clean and comfortable. I loved having the beautiful view of the bay. The shower was great (though the shower door did leak water onto the floor). My room was quiet - although there did seem to be lots of other people on my floor I never heard them from my room. I liked that it was easy to use my Netflix account on the TV in my room. I do wish the bedside light could be adjusted to be less bright. This is an expensive hotel. The most annoying part of staying here was the cheapness - it was annoying to pay a high fee for mediocre WiFi of dubious security. And the hotel restaurants are very pricey, and somehow the desk clerk pushed me into a pricey “Bonvoy” membership which cost about $50 a day and gave me not much in return. When you’re already paying a high room rate, who wants to feel like they’re trying to further gouge you at every turn? Overall this is a lovely place, I would stay here again. But I would resist the extra fees, they didn’t add much."

It appeared to be recently renovated and the interior of the room was mostly in good condition, but the exterior and lobby was not well maintained; it did not feel safe. The room was sparse and most of the furnishings looked new, but seemed cheaply built. The shower looked clean and modern but did not have a door."
