Chali is by far the best hotel in Cagayan de Oro. It has a true resort feel, like the Caribbean. Rooms are spacious, staff is amazing, drinks were great, and the views are amazing. Coming back from New York soon for sure.

Fabulous Resort

Everything about this resort is awesome from the checkin to sitting by the ocean having breakfast or dinner..Staff here super friendly and helpful.Will definitely come back next year and stay here at Charli's..

The dinner was outstanding along with the service. If they had a full service bar, I would rate it as excellent. Dining on the veranda, with the waves lapping against the bulkhead reminded me of Sausalito, CA, complete with the fog. Our room was spacious and I enjoyed the king-sized bed. Minus a few points for the uncooperative shower head. The Filipino food I had was delicious but, the chef has a little to learn about making pancakes.

Chali again

My second visit here. Its always good to go back to a place and see how things have improved, and boy have they. The new Tres Marias restaurant is outstanding, the staff are a credit to the resort.

Nice resort. As of January 2024, the restaurant is under major renovation. Temporary services have been set-up between the pool and the seaside boardwalk. Dining is at the mercy of the weather, wind, rain… very high potential resort. Probable a great stay once the Reno’s are complete.

Very noisy. Upon checking in the room have so many mosquitoes and bugs. We had so many bites when we left. They were cleaning the yard at night which woke us up. The food servers were all standing around. A cup of coffee took fifteen minutes? I don’t recommend this place!

My wife and I were treated like "A" list people... We really liked all of the staff and made sure to learn their names. One staff member went out of his way to help my wife rent a van and plan a family outing with her parents, brother, sister and nephews. I cant thank them enough for their great service. They made a working man feel like royalty...

Chali Beach Resort is a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay, the rooms are a good size and AC is very good Wifi is fine throughout the resort. The onsite restaurant is very good with all staff being very helpful and polite. The pool is well kept and a nice place to relax although a few more loungers would be nice. Although called a Beach Resort, there is no beach, it's more of a sea front but still offers a good view. Only issues during our stay was that bed sheets were stained and had holes in, they were changed on resquest but still had the same issues. Overall we had a very nice and relaxing stay at Chali.

They said buffet breakfast but they don't have it instead they serve plated menu and they wont allow you to change what's in the menu if tou request. ( like I don't drink coffee so i wanted it change to changed to bottled water) .

My wife was asked to exit the swimming pool because she was not in a swim suit . She went in the pool wearing a tea shirt and shorts because our two year old daughter could not be in the pool by herself. I don’t think that it was a family friendly resort and there was no beach .

Bad customer service

For a two-star hotel, it is just average. But they charged me triple the actual value for washing a hand towel which I dirtied with dye. Door knob of one of our rooms was falling off. When my husband asked for additional pillows, housekeeping conducted first an inspection which to him was very insulting.

Chali is a good resort to recharge your batteries after a long trip; quite and good; only one question: where is the beach???? Aside than that, the pool is nice, so is the restaurant, the hotel staff is great and makes it enjoble.
