The chateau is beautiful, the staff are really friendly, and the rooms are amazing. We had a great time and will definitely be returning on our next trip through France - look forward to when the spa is finished.
The chateau and surroundings were fine with the property well maintained but the creativity and quality of the food in both the informal bistro restaurant and the fine dining restaurant were the real standout characteristics of this stay. These were exceptional.
Wow what a rare find. Firstly it’s magnificent and then we booked last minute and the hotel called us to find out what time we’d arrive (it was 10pm) and to ask if we’d like some food on arrival how about that. They were amazing. Got us a great meal to take to our room 10.30pm and arranged a dog bed and it was just totally first class. Advertised as 5 star and made it in every way. From the team on the front desk, to the chef and the overnight team as we had to leave at 6am to continue our journey to Italy. I will 10000 percent stay there on my return but get there early enough to enjoy the restaurant and atmosphere. Not sure who owns this place but I’d reckon privately owned. If employee all the people there in a heartbeat. When we got up at 5.30 they were already in the kitchen making breakfast.
Not our idea of a chateau hotel, a feel of a motel in some areas. Lots of guests complaining at reception, noisy guest in a connected room - dealt with by the hotel but not in the best way. Good food in the brasserie but very cafe feel
This was our second visit, the first was in November 23 when it was cold and grey but we enjoyed it so much we came back to enjoy it in the summer. The gastronomic restaurant is as good as you would expect with prices to match but the brasserie is also outstanding with a far lower price tag. The hotel staff are exceptional, nothing is too much trouble (in the November my wife left her glasses in the room which were promptly dispatched to our home in the UK without issue). The rooms are well equipped, clean and tastefully furnished - we have had rooms overlooking the lawn and ponds both times - and the beds are comfortable. In short, a very relaxing place to stay and/or enjoy superb meals cooked by a renowned chef.
Typical R&C high standards of comfort, cleanliness and facilities. Restaurant is outstanding as you would expect from a Michelin star chef. Grounds are a mix of eco and decorative. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.
Beautiful chateau with stylish interior. Comfortable immaculate bedroom. Impeccable service from the friendly staff. Our four course dinner in the Jardin d’Alice was a highlight of our stay.
A lovely hotel 45 minutes from Calais Port so ideal for a one night stop over.
Lovely modern room with terrace. Unfortunately, we were unable to use the terrace due to the awful smell caused by a sewerage problem. The hotel gardens were beautiful and well maintained.
We ate in the Jardin D’Alice restaurant which had a great vibe. The food was good.
We were glad we hadn’t booked the more formal restaurant as it was filled with a group of 4O people. The three couples from the hotel eating the formal dinner had been stuck in a small side room, which we would not have enjoyed at all. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel one day.
Focus on food rather than hotel guest satisfaction
Overall experience was a disappointment mainly due to not being made to feel welcome, very impersonal, no information on chateaux or what (if any) access we were allowed. Felt chateaux was only about the food not making stay enjoyable for guests. It was a shame as booked as a surprise for my wife and she was impressed with the chateaux itself and the well kept gardens and had a nice meal in the bistro.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Slightly disappointing. Staff were not very friendly.
Beautifully decorated room with petite madelines on arrival. We ate in the bistro, sitting in the terrace in the balmy weather sampling fabulous food. The oyster mushroom stuffed with quail was spectacular!
