"Everything here was 4/10 except the beds are horrible and they are not cyclist friendly. If you are out here traveling by bike this is not the place to stay. They refuse to let me bring our clean bikes to the room, even if it's a old motel with it's own outside door. They instead told us to put our bikes in a shed next to the road with a big glass sliding door for everyone to see what's in there. "Bed was OK, but the space in the room is insufficient"

"This is a case of you get what you pay for. It was okay. I didn't realize that most of not of all of the rooms are in what I would call barracks across the road from the hotel. This wasn't really disclosed on Expedia. If it was I obviously didn't notice it. The biggest surprise was that the " restaurant and pub " isn't open past 230 in the afternoon. How can you call it a pub in this case. Staff were great. And for the price I guess all is well. I think it is a great place for apets teams...

"Staff were super friendly and accommodated us with what ever we needed. The rooms were clean, however their a/c unit was quite loud. However outside of that the stay was great and would recommend for folks with families looking for an affordable stay on PEI."

"We loved our stay here. Stayed 4 nights with two children ages 5 and 6. Staff were amazing. Breakfast buffet was good. The only issue we had was that the pool is kept very very very cold. My kids lips were blue after a few minutes, and other guests came in with kids or alone and couldnt get in past their hips due to the freezing temperature, which is a shame because we specifically booked for the pool. Other than that, the stay was great!"

However, our experience when we stayed there in July, 2026 was much different, When we first booked the reservation through Expedia, we were led to believe that there were only a few rooms left as the room availability indicated that they were sold out many of the rooms. "We had a wonderful stay at Pines Motel in Cottage #6. It was exactly what we were looking for and made a great home base for exploring PEI. The location was perfect, with easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit, and the beautiful view and quiet surroundings made it even more enjoyable.
