"This was a beautiful hotel, located right on the beach and next to the ferry for Mackinac Island! Our room had a comfortable king size bed, jacuzzi tub and a small porch with 2 chairs and a table on the beach. We could watch the sunset, and the boats go in and out of the harbor from our room/porch. It was wonderful! AND all of this was a fraction of the price as a room on Mackinac Island!! The people at the front desk were helpful for finding lunch after a speedy check-in. Coupons and a map were available. When we started to buy tickets for the ferry at the desk, the young man told us we should wait to buy them at the ferry because my husband is a veteran. The ferry would give us a discount! Breakfast was included in the price of the room, with both hot and cold options. We didn't choose waffles, but many others seemed to be enjoying them. The scrambled eggs in hotels always taste a little different- pepper or hot sauce helps ;) The pool was closed for renovations at the end of the season. I was disappointed about this situation. We were offered to walk across the parking lot to the next hotel/pool but there was no way to stay inside for the walk. The temperature was too cool to make that an option for us "old folks"!"

"From the moment we checked in, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean, and the mattresses and pillows were extremely comfortable, allowing us to enjoy a wonderful night's sleep. The complimentary breakfast was also very good, with fresh, warm, and delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning the next time we visit the area!"

"The absolute only complaint I have is the bed. Unfortunately it was very stiff and just plain uncomfortable. But other than that the room was exceptionally clean and staff was very friendly and helpful."
