"After two lovely stays at the Pan Pacific Hotel, I've always wanted to return for my future trips. I had to do a quick business trip and booked the Premier Room with the Waterfront and northshore views. Upon arrival, the front desk was very friendly and efficiently completed the check-in process. With the key cards, off I went to my room. As soon as I opened the door, I was blown away by the view of the northshore mountains. A quick tea break was a great opportunity to take in the beautiful view out the large windows and settle in. The room was spotless, and so spacious that I did a bodyweight workout between the king bed and TV. Quality communal toiletries and super soft, clean towels made for an enjoyable shower before dinner. The dinner at Five Sails was a pleasant surprise and one of my best and unforgettable fine-dining experiences ever. After dinner, I went back to my room and streamed a bit. Soon after, I called it a night. The comfortable bed and pillows made it so easy to fall asleep. The sound insulation is so good that the early departing guests didn't wake me up the next morning. The fully stocked coffee station with Lavazza coffee machine and pods came in handy for my morning coffee without having to step out of the room. The staff were able to accommodate my last minute late checkout request, so I could attend an unexpected work meeting that came up. A quick shoutout to Alejandra who checked me in at the front desk and Michael at Five Sails. You were amazing!"

"The location is perfect and if you are into history the Fairmont oozes it. We had a couple issues while we were there. The room was on the city side and very loud-our neighbors also had kids and a dog-It happens & not the hotels fault. Parking was expensive-$25+ a day. But my fault for not checking. The real disappointment was High Tea. We were there for our anniversary and it was a bucket list experience for us. It wasnt what we hoped for. The staff at the hostess station were not very friendly- we were made to feel like we were bothering them-we were 10 minutes early for our reservation. Once seated we were at our table for a little over an hour and other than asking us if we wanted more expensive drinks than were included in the tea, when we were seated, and bringing us our bill the server only checked in on us one time right after another server had brought the food and tea. We didnt want to make a fuss but the tea in one pot was cold and bitter. The food was way overpriced for what was served. The scone was nice but the tiny finger sandwiches were stale or soggy and consisted mainly of cream cheese and paper thin slices of something else. The desserts were pretty but too sweet to eat. We took them in a to go box but ended up throwing them away. The cost for 2 people was $275 including close to $50 tip the server clearly wasnt happy with, but all things considered I thought was generous. The hotel staff were wonderful, the rooms beautiful. Skip High Tea."

"Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, convenient location, breakfast included. Cons: Bathroom amenities are lacking (shower cap, bar soap, lotion) and room is slightly dated."

"We stay at a lot of hotels as a family and I travel for work too. This hotel I must say, has the best staff and customer service I have encountered in a long time. It made me not even think about the dated (but very very clean) room we got. It didn’t matter . We were made to feel so welcome and will definitely stay here again. Great location too"
