"Lovely boutique hotel, stayed for two nights but had no sleep either night, the noise outside was terrible, by far the worst I have ever experienced over the many years of travelling, lasted literally all night, both nights, this is not the hotels fault though, obviously, and shouldn’t reflect on the hotel, but it doesn’t help and people should be aware of the issue. "We were made very welcome at Den Heijkant, our lodge was a converted barn with its own sheltered outdoor table and seating, comfortable kitchen/diner and hob/grill oven for cooking.
It was very peaceful and quiet - only an occasional combine harvester & tractor to compete with the sounds of the wildlife and views of sunsets.
The lodge is well situated for exploring the local area, castles, memorials, countryside, pancake restaurants and Eindhoven are all fairly close.
