Our stay was great, service was excellent, bed was really comfortable.
The aircon is slightly broken and the bathroom is very dated. The jet bath is semi functional.
All in all a great experience.

Great stay when traveling with pets
I have stayed at Rusplek before. It is really great if you have pets traveling with you. The reception is friendly and the breakfast served was of a high standard.
I found the grounds not as neat and tidy as before, and the soap and shampoo provided were very skimpy.
We were offered a very sedluded and beautiful self help facility with its own attractive garden and a lockable gate for that matter. What more could we have asked for. We enjoyed the comfort and privacy of it all.
Great place to stay and good value for money. Housekeeping was not a good as we usually had at this place in the past. Floor were also dirty when we checked in.
The reception staff were not so friendly to begin with. When we arrived at the room, there was no toilet paper. This is not acceptable if your guests traveled a long distance. After requesting toilet paper we were told that, "she" will bring it when "she" comes. The courtyard in front of the room was only cleaned after we arrived, while we were in the room. We had to go back to reception to find out about the wi-fi, only then we received a username and password with a complementary 1 gigabite date usage.
Very friendly and helpful reception staff but the group of houses sit behind high walls and fences so one feels a bit isolated from the area? The main complaint was waking up with the gurgling of a leaky ceiling (from the bath above) Into the breakfast area whilst having your (rather stingy) single cup of plastic coffee?
The booking confirmation stated a Private bathroom with a jetted bathtub. The actual 'bathroom' was a tiny passage-like space across the bedroom, so privacy was compromised. It has only a shower and almost no movement space! I feel this is unacceptable, especially since an expectation was created. Nothing of this 'change' was mentioned upon arrival.

Dealing with Expedia was not satisfactory. Their website does not cater for all available booking options and they added items to the booking that were not booked eg. dinner

Wellness centre
The place was a good value for money. The rooms were fine, DSTV available. Tuck shop at reception. The grounds while a little strange were nice. The property was secure.
1. SPA/bubble bath in room was smelley, it stank of old water
2. Bed needs to be replaced
3. Food delivery worst, we had to wait for almost 2 hours
4. Parking, security gate never closes, not even during night time
5. Guests does not consider other guests, loud talking in passage till late
We stayed over at Rusplek on our way to Cape Town. We arrived very late and the guesthouse staff were very friendly and accommodating to make our stay as seamless as possible. The facilities provided us with everything we needed to have a good night's rest to tackle the road the next morning.
Thank you very much!

OK - I guess you get what you pay for
The room was ok, the bed was comfortable but the place is extremely noisy. The Bethlehem room is at the top of the stairs from Reception, and you can hear every noise in the house. If you want some good quality sleep, then this is not the place for you. Otherwise, it was clean, and the garden is well kept.
