I liked everything about the property but disliked everything with regards to booking through Expedia who were difficult to contact and either were very confused as they kept offering me alternatives as the hotel could not take my booking or else they were hacked. However, they could not tell me which!!

The Inn was like a step back in time with modern facilities and a pool. The room had an new old look to it and the beds were very comfortable and the room was warm.

Only for Turists during high Season
Service was not so good because the low season. Not a good place for business as breakfast is not served before 8:30. Resturant not open on a Thursday evening surprising.

Overnight on the way to the ferry
Only an overnight short stay on the way to an early ferry crossing. The hotel looked like it was at the end of a renovation. Rooms were simple, clean and quiet. Restaurant was very nice. The shower looked like it had missed being part of the renovation. Useable but not upto the same standard as the rest of the hotel. Hotel was 20 minutes from the ferry terminal.

Great little place for a stopover
Great stop over on way south. Very friendly and warm welcome. Rooms are basic but exceptionally clean and comfy . Could do with a mirror in the room as only one which is on the bathroom . Evening meal very good - Will definitely stay here again

Arrived on Sunday. It took 10 minutes to find someone to check us in! We had chosen this hotel as it had a restaurant and a swimming pool. On arrival we were told restaurant closed until Wednesday. The pool was covered & we were told to remove the cover when we used it! We didn’t! Breakfast was served by a surly & unwelcoming maid. The meal was minimal with strict rations , no chance of extra bread or croissants! No fresh fruit ( we provided our own! Room service poor, towels were not changed during our 4 night stay. No offer of help with our luggage up the stairs or down when leaving. We had on meal in the restaurant. It was ok , service was ok, nothing special. We expected better as this was billed as the top restaurant in Bernières-sur-Mer The only good thing we can say is that it was a good base for exploring the D Day beaches

Dear clients, Following your comment we allow ourselves to react to clear a few points yes the restautrant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays as indicated on the site, we observed you at breakfast in view of the quantities you have consumed the price is relatively correct. the pool is covered because heated there is just a protection to wrap what is really not hard ... We do not offer luggage service at the price we are otherwise you have to go in a luxury 4 star. Codialement

The place was quiet and clean. It was a bit hot due to no AC, but we knew that going in. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free parking and walkable to the beach

Nice Stop for an overnight
This is not a hotel! This is more like a Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were very nice, except that there is no air conditioning. The hotel shampoo and such was very little. The towels were thin and there was no one to ask for an extra towel because no one was there. We wanted to walk around the grounds, but everything was locked.

Does not live up to it’s marketing. This is not a hotel but really a b&b without the usual homely facilities. Clean but spartan room with smelly drain in bathroom. The much praised restaurant is not open every day and only in the evenings. No facility for tea or coffee only at overpriced breakfast . Parking is across the street and the place may be locked up when you arrive. The gate intercoms do not seem to work so you may have a long wait if no- one is there.

Clean and tidy, good location
Converted farm with five bedrooms. Friendly hotel close to Juno beach. Excellent parking available across the road. Great breakfast; no other meals available in September as off season. Noise travels between rooms and a bit skimpy on furnishings, but a nice and clean space.

Fine, good sized apartment
Fine, good sized apartment. Walls & ceiling were a bit thin we could hear every step of the kids upstairs running about only criticism. Secure parking, nice little village, close to the landings beaches so a very pleasant setting. We felt the gardens could do with a lawn cut and small bit of weeding (nothing major). We didn't eat there, but the restaurant looked nice (there were so many good diners to choose from, we just didn't have chance). Good basic accommodation, no complaints. Overall all fine, thanks very much.

Lovely little hotel
We arrived and found it difficult to find staff. Once we had found staff we had been upgraded from a room to a studio apartment which was lovely, had its own private patio. Only problem we had with the hotel was no wifi... found it difficult to get any signal in the apartment. Breakfast was lovely everything morning, although I do think it was over priced.

Auburge closed upon our arrival
We arrived early afternoon to locked gates, even though the Auberge knew we were arriving that day. There was nothing on the gate to inform us what we needed to do to gain access. We rang with bell but no-one arrived. Fortunately, our French is not too bad, so I phoned the number on the sign across the road advertising their restaurant, using my mobile. The phone was answered (in french) and we were told someone would arrive to let us in. They came quite quickly, however, the restaurant was closed and there was no air-conditioning in the room which not been opened for sometime. The room was really hot and stuffy. We had to drive out about 8 miles for an evening meal, which after 7 hours on the road was not really what we felt like doing. Having said this, there was an indoor pool, the location and surrounding area were very nice. Also, I would imagine that had the Auburge been fully open and operational it may have been a more pleasant stay for us.

Cool place off the beaten path. Nice rooms, great restauraunt. Also has an indoor pool! Located in the town next to where the Juno Beach Center is.

Attractive Economy B&B
A satisfactory stopover in a historically interesting building. The room was satisfactory and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was continental and basic plus a little expensive. On the whole, considering the budget price, we would stopover there again. The in house restaurant looked interesting but was closed on the day we stayed.

Excellent hotel, warm and friendly welcome.
This was our budget option during a week of travelling but it didn't disappoint. The beach was 10 minutes walk and a selection of alternative restaurants were 15 mins walk in St Aubin sur mer. It's an converted barn so provides quirky and clean rooms and breakfast area.

Convient for Caen ferry and great restaurant
Great stopover before early ferry back (15 minute drive along coast with sun rising over Channel). Good to have an indoor swimming pool.

très bon séjour
La chambre est en parfaite état, propre et bien préparée. Nous avons diné sur place et la cuisine est très appréciée: malgré des restrictions de covid-19 le menu a proposé beaucoup de choix, le service est parfait. Le lieu est calme, 10 minutes à pied et nous sommes sur le bord de la mer... la randonné le long de la mer est magnifique

L hôtel est agréable, typique avec de très belles poutres et de jolis murs de pierres extérieurs et intérieurs. Notre grande déception est de ne pas avoir pu profiter du Restaurant qui, pourtant, était bien mis en évidence sur le site et sur place. En effet, ce qui a influencé notre choix était le fait que l hôtel possédait un restaurant avec des plats et menus apparemment sympathiques. Soit pas assez de clients, soit l' accueil de groupes remplissait le restaurant. C'est très dommage ! 4 soirées où nous avons été frustrés

Tout s’est bien passé, patron très gentil et professionnel. Seul petit soucis, le ménage et le lit ne sont pas fait correctement, surtout trop de poussière au sol et manque une bouilloire aussi et un peu de thé et café dans la chambre. Ça aurait été un plus. J’anime été déçue de ne pas avoir un petit déjeuner chaud, comme une omelette ou du jambon. Mais ma fille et moi avons apprécié le calme et le confort de la chambre.

Petite pause d'une nuit dans une auberge tout juste réhabilité, accueil super chaleureux, environnement extérieur très sympa et à l'intérieur les chambres sont neuves et bien aménagée et décorée, très bon rapport qualité prix, le service petit déjeuner était très bien. Encore un autre plus... Le petit plongeon dans la piscine chauffée avant de repartir ! Très satisfaite de cette nuit en amoureux

Franse Auberge op loopafstand van het stand
Grote kamer, goed restaurant, fijn zwembad, mooie grote tuin. Eenvoudig ontbijt. Alleen 1 zakje douchegel p.p. per dag. Het zandstrand is prima aan te lopen, winkel in de buurt en restaurantjes aan de boulevard van Saint Aubin sur mer (aanrader Aux Bains des Mots) op 2 km afstand. Ook Courseulles sur mer (groter, toeristischer plaatsje met schoon zandstrand en terrasjes) is leuk aan te lopen via het strand.
