Not good for families with kids
Booked a double room for three nights to stay with my family, (spouse + 6 year old kid). We were not allowed to stay there and were asked to book another room due to there policies. We ended up booking an extra room (total of 2 rooms) in the same hotel for the night, Had to pay ~$ 100 although we never used the second room (ended up staying in the same room as a family). Had to stay in the Novotel hotel(next to Ibis under the same management) for next two night which cost me extra ~ $ 300 for the saty than I anticipated. It is strange that I never had this issue in other hotels in Switzerland (or any other country) during my 30 days trip in Europe. Reasonably OK hotel for the money. Front desk staff not friendly or helpful at all. I would not stay there again and not recommending families with kids to stay there.

Since the room can only be booked for two people, it is also the case that only two people are allowed to sleep there.Since there were 3 people (no matter how old the child is) it was the right thing to do to sell you a 2nd room. It is not centrally located, but only 15 minutes walking distance and 7 minutes by public transportation to the city center. It is very clean, the staff is very helpful and the breakfast is excellent. I would recommend it anytime.

One night stay
Short stay over night. The staff was very helpful allowing us to store our bags even after we checked out so we could explore the city a little before heading to our next destination. The bed was very comfortable compared to most places we’ve stayed at.

To expensive for this particular hotel service, poor breakfast, small room, expensive parking for whoever needs it, and the staff weren’t the most friendly I have seen for sure. In the other hand very clean !!!

Fantastic Hotel with great location!
Great hotel! A tram runs from the train station and stops in front of the hotel. The Bern Rose Garden, with great views of the city, is a short walk from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to spend some time in Bern.

Nice hotel, easily accessible.
Very helpful staff who spoke good English. Good location, less than 15 minutes on the number 9 bus from the train station which runs very frequently. Room was clean and comfortable, only slight gripe was the bed sagged slightly in the middle. Air con worked well. Breakfast was good and included fresh fruit salad and waffles!

Nice Stay
Excellent hotel. Just 15 min away from center by tram. Guisanplatz Expo stop is just infront of the hotel. Quite and Calm surroundings. Breakfast is a bit expensive

staff were friendly at check in and out. We did not rent a car, the hotel staff gave me and my husband puic bus tickets which were valid to be used for 24 hours after we checked in around 4 pm. The bus station is very close by and handy.

Bring your own pillows!!!
It’s an Ibis so wasn’t expecting anything in terms of luxury... LOL Room was compact and clean. I just wish they had provided decent sleeping pillows rather than just one the size of a small square cushion!

Basic chain hotel with small room
Fairly basic chain hotel conveniently located to tram line to old town area. Small room--especially bathroom and shower. Needed to change room because of smell. Staff was accommodating in accomplishing the change.

Nice, basic hotel on the city outskirts
The hotel was as you would expect from an Ibis... clean but basic. The room was nice and the bed was comfy. The shower was alro very good. However the room cost us £105 per night for 2nights, plus 22chf in taxes. For an Ibis, this is rediculous! I appreciate that Bern is expensive but I couldn't believe the cost. They also charged 50chf deposit to hire an iron... i have never had to pay this in any hotel. The hotel is about 15mins from the town centre by tram no. 9 which is really efficient and easy to use with the free travel card. The hotel staff are really friendly too.

The door of a room was unable to lock
The door of our room (811) was unable to lock. We hope this can be fixed as soon as possible. The breakfast is nice, lots of fruit and yoghurt. Quite healthy

its nice hotel near Expo Bern, near shopping center, not so far from the city center. we stay only 1 night, The hotel provide us 2 days FREE transportation ticket to city center and surrounding. Nice !!!

Noisy. Share facilities with hippies using budget hotel on same site. Insufficient staff. Breakfast very limited and poor quality. Stayed in much better Ibis hotels for much less.

Great value. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is a bit far, about 8 tram stops from the city's main railway station but good that the hotel is located right near the tram stop.

Everything was good except for the heat. The room was extremely hot and was hard to sleep at night. We left the cool air on the second night and it was still hot. They also only left one towel for two people and wouldn't deliver another towel. They told us we don't have room service and have to go downstairs get it ourselves. They also don't have a laundry facility in the hotel.

Hotel is easily accessible from the Bern Bahnhof station via tram and within 15 min walk to the Rose Garden and Bear Park, as well as other key attractions. Absolutely loved the friendly and helpful staff.

Inexpensive and pretty convenient,
Stayed just one night having to fly out early the 2nd morning. The hotel is right on the tram line which makes it easy to get to from the train station. ( the tram is free for people staying at the hotel... I think this is true for all hotels in the city) Room is fairly sparse but the bed and pillow were comfortable. Front desk personnel were very helpful holding our bags, arranging for a taxi early the next morning and even allowing us to have a little breakfast serving the breakfast serving time actually opened. Overall a very positive experience.

Good value for the money
This was a low price hotel so I didn't expect a lot to get value. It was outside of the old town but the tram was right outside the hotel and only took 10 mins to get into town. We paid extra for breakfast which was very basic and not great value. The room was tiny meaning the bathroom was like an aeroplane toilet and the shower was barely above the floor so the water went everywhere. The bed practically touched the wall. That said I was happy with it for the price.
