Loved this hotel, the receptionist was lovely and chatty … great room It was a bit to far away from the centre for us, walking back late at night was a bit sketchy in the dark but apart from that great night stay.

Nice hotel in a historic city

This was a lovely hotel, with fridge and kettle, and unexpectedly, a balcony. I don't know if it was just my phone, but I couldn't very often get wifi in my room. The staff were surprised at this, although it did say on the tourist board website that it was only available in public areas. It worked perfectly in the comfortable lobby/lounge area on the ground floor anyway, and also in the outside space nearby, which had a table, chairs, and a paasol. It was about 10 minutes walk from the station and modern town, and not too far from the funicular to the upper town (or there is a bus)

The hotel was good clean and tidy. Staff were great and helpful. BAD POINT though. There is kettle and cups in room but only a teabag on offer. When I asked at reception for some coffee and milk I was told there is a shop across the road that sells it. The hotel don't do it. Every hotel I have ever stayed in round the world with a kettle and cups ALWAYS supply tea, coffee, sugar etc..... To the MANAGER of the hotel.. This is a very simple fix to your hotel operations. Please adopt for your guests for future. Thanks...

A really comfortable stay

The hotel is a very comfortable place to stay, conveniently located close to the university. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing an adapter and checking that everything was ok. I would recommend the hotel.

Great value for the money...

Location was great. We had the train station and several bars and restaurants within a walking distance. Staff was also a highlight. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Room was a bit noisy but clean and confortable. Would definately stay there again.
