"Great breakfast. Great food altogether. They were a bit odd about when we could access the beach. It was closed from 12 to 3. Which was weird but other than that a great place."

"Shabby room in desperate need of updating. The air conditioning rattles louder than the local train line behind the hotel making it difficult sleep and there is no ceiling fan to keep cool as an alternative. The furniture is stained, possibly with mildew. The bathroom has limescale, mould and a blocked sink. The bathroom towels were frayed and grey. The light switches had been weirdly painted over. Uncomfortable bed and bedding. The water is not drinkable, yet they only give you 2 small bottles...

"The apartment was spacious and overlooked the swimming pool, which is lovely. The gardens are well-kept and full of birds, it's a charming and relaxing retreat, and walking distance from the beach and restaurants/resorts."

"Clean room with a new big bathroom. The pool was big and the garden is very nice. I don’t know why some reviewers write that its dirty, wasn’t our experience at all. Maybe other rooms are different but ours was very clean and excellent value for the Price."

"The staff was so nice. The room was large, 4 post bed, mini frig, beach and bath towels in room. It was very clean. Balcony was nice with sturdy chairs and table. View was nice over pool. Free beach chairs. Can by drinks/food- everyone there also nice. Good place to rest, be at beach, breakfast good, restaurant/bar in hotels right there. Thank you for a good stay!"

"The architecture and gardens are a stand out feature of this hotel located on a quiet section of Bentota Beach ( separated by a railway line which you cross on foot!). Staff are efficient and courteous "

"Henry the owner is the perfect host. Staff were very caring and helpful! Pool is great! Food was one of the highlights. Fantastic wildlife in the garden with parrot, fish, fire flies, chip monks and lizards. Mosquito free veranda. Tuc, tuc and van available anytime. Wonderful beach only 2 min tuk tuk ride away. Best relaxing holiday we have had in 2 months of traveling."
