Five-star…don’t think so

The Level is not a five star hotel, it is a five star wannabe. The premises and facilitets are five-star, the staff at the reception is good, but the staff at the restaurants are a three at most. They are extremely slow. The only restaurant where you don’t have to wait at least twenty minutes for the bill, is at the buffet restaurant where you sign your bill as you order. And don’t get me started on the Head Waiter at the Italian venue ”Cosa Nostra”.The guy thinks he’s a rock star, but the only thing ”rock” about him is that he is most likely stoned… Finally…from a five-star hotel, I had expected to get a later check-out since we were playing the hotel’s golf course and would not be finnished at 12. The hotel was far from fully booked, but of course that could not be arranged…

Website A la carte restaurants not open.

We arrived to find none of the A La carte restaurants were open although advertised as open on the website. We were told on arrival we should have called in advance. We eat in The Level restaurant which was self service on the first day. The food was not what we had expected from a 5 star resort. You also had to like cats who seem to be encouraged to mingle with guests while eating. We spent most of the next day trying to arrange for an alternative venue to eat so didn’t make the best use of the facilities. We were both totally underwhelmed by the whole experience. On checking out the bill was incorrect and had it amended. Then to find an hour after we left that further charge had been added. We recorded a detailed complaint to Jose in the customer experience team and have been waiting a response. I had held off posting a response in the hope the Hotel would have at least contacted my wife and I with an apology. We played on the adjoining golf course which was great although when we arrived there wasn’t any food being served until 11am.

In general, the hotel needs rennovation and services to get better: medditeranean style is really cool and the territory is huge, but the terrace is not secured at all, your neighbor can just step over a low board and be on your terrace and if you are on the 1st or 2 floor, just in 3 m from you is a golf camp that you cant enjoy time on terrace and the golf ball could be dropped to your head. Room service works just till 00:00 and after that its impossible to get absolutely nothing, not food or drinks , not any kind of help or service. The spa is like a separate part but not part of the hotel, so to enjoy access to swim pool, sauna etc you have to be ready to pay extra. On the territory is few restaurants, but if you are planning to get a weekend escape be ready that just a buffet restaurant is open , nothing more. The room itself is ok, but TV even doesnt have option to connect devices , the hair dryer could be replaced for smtg not from 20 th Century, smell of canalization is also not pleasant in the bathroom and black marks around the bath, the fossets is already that old that the metalic cover is falling off. So, its nice to have this big hotel, but also , the Level of facilities and services could be better for this price and name of the hotel.

La chambre était très bien. Les réceptionnistes très sympathiques et arrangeants car sur le site il est écrit que le petit déjeuner commence à 7:00 mais en réalité c’est 7:30, et nous devions partir à 7:30 donc ils nous ont fait un panier repas à emporter

En general nuestra experiencia es buena , a excepción de la atención en recepción, pues se nos informó que el buffet botanic estaba cerrado 2 días al mediodía pero resultó estar cerrado de lunes a viernes . Estábamos en pensión completa y teníamos opción de comer a la carta en otros restaurantes, pero la recepcionista Thalía no nos daba la información, se lo dijimos nosotros porque era la tercera vez que nos alojábamos y lo sabíamos. Tampoco nos parece correcto tener que comer en el buffet mosaico ( 4 estrellas)cuando hemos pagado la pensión completa del de 5 estrellas .

Flott hotell med gode senger. Men under lavsesong så var det mye arbeider på hotellet, så man følte man bodde på en byggeplass med mye støy. Vi ba om å få flytte rom - hvorav det neste morgen startet opp motorsag for kapping av trær der også…. Så vi endte med å forlate hotellet, da vi var på hotell nettopp for å kunne slappe av ifbm at huset vårt ble renovert. Samt at majoriteten av fasilitetene var stengt ned. : Ingen spabehandling, hovedbassenget ikke oppvarmet og frokostbuffet ble erstattet med liten cafe med begrenset utvalg til frokost. Servicen var god. Bra garasjeanlegg. Men hotellet skulle ha opplyst og gitt gjestene mulighet til å velge om de ønsket å bo i dette bråket!

Vacker hotellanläggning

Väldigt långsam inchechning, bra rum och rent, våra 3 rum helt utan utsikt rakt mot en dåligt skött cypresshäck och 2 pinnstolar på våra terrasser, ej enligt bilder på er hemsida. I loungen ingick ej öl men vin o cava, läsk, kaffe o vatten utöver det bara olika typer av oliver ( stor skillnad mot The Level på Melia i Alicante ) Hela hotellanläggningen superfin och jättevackert men långa avstånd, bra spa men dyrt 25 Eu för 1 timme.

Atmospheric and pretty island resort

The place is huge, with more pools and restaurants than you can shake a stick at. Lots of nice, large rooms with private balconies. You get a nice view of Benidorm town, which is a couple of Km away. Yes there are lots of golfers, but there are many families and couples just hanging out around the grounds, or in the spa, so it does not feel too golfy. I guess the complex was built twenty to thirty years ago, as you can see signs of age, but the furniture felt new and contemporary so the overall vibe was not sad at all. People were nice, everyone knew what they were doing. Recommended (and I am fussy).
