Popular places to visit

Neuschwanstein Castle
4.5/5(20 reviews)
Almost impossibly picturesque, Ludwig II’s masterpiece of turrets and white walls is perched like a fairy tale above an Alpine valley.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen Ski Resort
4.5/5(13 reviews)
Ski on the same slopes that put alpine skiing on the Olympic schedule in 1936 at this Bavarian alpine ski resort on the plateau beneath Germany’s highest mountain.

Linderhof Palace
4.5/5(10 reviews)
Ludwig II’s personal palace was built on a more intimate scale than nearby Neuschwanstein, offering a glimpse into his troubled mind.
