Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel. Lovely room design, comfortable beds. The only disappointment is that I emailed the restaurant a week before our arrival and they couldn’t accommodate a vegan meal for my family.

Outstanding-Charme-Beautiful grounds
Absolutely fantastic! Remote location but close to Deauville, Honfleur and Etratat. Beautiful grounds, the suite we stayed in “charme” had recent been updated. The best of bedding, amenities, grounds and staff. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was unique but slightly overpriced. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

The hotel is an old converted farmhouse which was transformed with exceptional taste. The gardens and views of the surrounding rolling hills provide a tranquil and peaceful setting. Quality is high and service is exceptional. Their restaurant is amazing. Definitely a must if staying in the area of Honfleur and the upper Normandy area as it could definitely be used as a hub to visit the surrounding venues.

Property was beautifully designed, gardens were wonderful and peaceful. Receive a wonderful reception. Room was like something you would see in Architectural Digest. Everything was of the highest quality and taste and the location was a short drive to Honfluer but far enough away to be able to enjoy peace and quiet.

The property is magical. The staff was exceptional. The only negative was an open bathroom with no shower not conducive for two ladies traveling together.

The hotel is beautiful and really quaint. The area is a little remote (generally) and as we arrived in the evening was hard to figure out where to go, but staff was super friendly and the hotel is incredibly charming. Went with my mom, but think it has more of a romantic vibe.

Bath amenities were great and we had a beautiful view overlooking a field. The room was quaint and felt comfortable but not stuffy. We had breakfast, which was also tasty and a good spread (though 22 euro). I am not sure if there was AC.

Amazing hidden gem in Normandy!
This was our first stop in a much anticipated birthday trip to France. We arrived exhausted zombies fresh off the plane and left rejuvenated and relaxed. From the beautiful yet understated grounds to the amazing meals we had in the garden, l’auberge de la source did not disappoint. I would highly recommend eating at the restaurant in the garden if weather permits. Our room was clean and luxurious. The staff was lovely too!

One of our best accommodations ever in France!
We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay at the beginning of our 3-week trip through France. Auberge de la Source is beautiful, with an extremely gracious and accommodating staff. We had both our breakfasts and dinners in the inn and all were superbe! Our room was very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. The location was perfect for exploring the area and close enough to Honfleur to be able to make quick returns if desired. We would stay there again in a heartbeat ... and hope to!

A tranquil, beautiful place to stay. A great place to relax and get away from it all...but trips to all of the Normandy coast/sites is well within reach and easy to get to.

Exquisite country-side B and B
An exquisite small country lodging with the most gorgeous gardens we've ever seen at a B and B. There were at least 6 small natural streams and pools running through the gardens. Breakfast was wonderful and the room beautifully decorated with natural wood and stone.

A little paradise
This is an amazingly charming small hotel with beautiful garden and great restaurant. The room I stayed in was very stylish with the right mix of rustic and contemporary. Very comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant is so good - it deserves its own review. I had a dinner and a breakfast and both were exceptional.

A beautiful inn in a charming setting. Phillip was a wonderful host and incredibly accommodating with my dietary needs. We even had our laundry done and it was returned in a beautiful basket neatly folded. They really have thought of every detail to ensure your comfort. The Wi-Fi is very weak but being in a rural quaint setting, this shouldn’t be a priority. We hope to return.

The location is simply beautiful in the Normandy forests and countryside. The inn has a beautiful setting, however the staff was less than pleasant. Upon arriving, we were told that we were not able to stay at the retreat for dinner as we did not have a reservation. When we requested how was it that all the guests could not have dinner, it was explained that the quality of the dinner for the remainder of the guests would somehow be compromised if we had dinner and the staff would need to work more and this too would affect the quality of their lives, I was disappointed and frustrated. The quality of the guest experience was definitely secondary. Love the region but would not return here to experience it.

Absolutely beautiful and secluded location!
This is a lovely inn located in a small village. Very authentic Pays d'Auge experience complete with half timbered buildings and a small Norman church. Very nice home base for exploring Normandy. The food, accommodations and staff are all first rate. Although generally very quiet do note this is a farming community complete with rooster crowing at sun rise and cows mooing in the pasture across the road. We found it chraming but do be aware if you're a light sleeper wishing to sleep in.

That's a great option for those who like to stay away from most popular touristic routes. Property is beautiful and situated just 5km away from Honfleur. Rooms are small but comfortable, nice patio where you can enjoy your lunch!

A great country hotel
An excellent if expensive hotel, food was extremely good and the service kept pace. The location is lovely with restful country walks available from the hotel. Honfluer and Villerville within a 10 minute drive, both well worth a visit but not on a Sunday afternoon when Honfluer we found was heaving. The beach restaurant at Villerville looked really good and the staff were really cheerful

What a wonderful spot.
Our only problem was actually finding the place. Once we arrived, we discovered a charming getaway. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. And our dinner in the restaurant was one of the best we had on our 10 day vacation in France. Highly recommend!!

A hidden gem!!
We found Auberge de la Source through the internet,looking for hotels close to Etratat, and Honfleur France. We could not have been more pleased. This hotel is a hidden gem, truly idyllic. We would gladly stay again.Aparently we are not alone in this thought, other guests told us they are regulars at the hotel. The staff was gracious and friendly!

French Countryside
We decided on this hotel even though it was outside the city of Honfleur because of the great reviews. We enjoyed the countryside setting and wonderful garden at the hotel. We only wish it was not raining during our stay so we could enjoy the manicured grounds. The service was also exceptional! Veranique was particularly helpful with a lunch recommendation in Honfleur and also with contacting our next hotel on Mont St. Michel for instructions on how to get on the island. We did not ask Veranique to call, but she offered to call to help us as we were checking out. Since our French is nonexistent, it was one less thing for us to be concerned about. Another reason we decided on Auberge de la Source is because of the restaurant reviews. Again we were not disappointed. Given this was the only day it rained on our trip, it was nice to have such a exceptional restaurant on the premises!

A real gem
Our second visit here. A real little gem hidden in the woods. Our room was compact but with everything there. Cosy and very comfortable. The hotel has a real shabby chic charm. The restaurant is amazing, every course was mouthwatering. The lobster was one of the best I have ever eaten. The baked camenbert with a drizzle of honey was delicious. Breakfast was of the same high standard with plenty of everything. Our stay was a delight.

Long weekend at Auberge de la Source
We last visited this hotel in 2012 when we used it as a base for Deauville races. However, during our time there we discovered Honfleur which is a very quaint harbour town (if a bit touristy in August) and the rolling Eure countryside with its timber-framed buildings and cider orchards.We returned this year, again principally for the races, and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a lovely countryside location, and the bedrooms are beautifully converted barns and other farm outbuildings. It's totally different from the "standard" 4-star hotel, it's more like lodging with friends. The restaurant is very good, and quite reasonably priced considering the quality of the cooking. If I were being critical I would say that the breakfast is expensive for a continental-style offering, but that's my only minor niggle - otherwise as good as last time and we'd definitely visit again.

Rustic charm but a little impracticable. We arrived on a wet day and our accommodation was off the main house and you stepped straight into your room with wet shoes on floor and around your bed. Very small bedroom and shower room. Restaurant expensive but well presented. Gardens and trout stream excellent. There was one reception that doubled up for restaurant. No bar or communal lounge as we could see. Seemed to be mainly converted outbuilding to main house for accommodation and this has been designed with minimal space for each accommodation.

Superb rural location just outside Honfleur
Located in a superb rural location just outside Honfleur but in easy reach. It really is picture book perfect with gardens that are expertly maintained. The presentation of the room and all services were great. Our experience of the menu was very good. It is evident that all is freshly prepared and quality throughout. All staff are friendly and helpful especially given my schoolboy level of French. We intend to return and look forward to it. I booked on basis of reviews and was not disappointed.

Auberge was exactly what we were looking for. Very small (20 rooms or so) and away from the main town of Honfleur. Little hard to find at first, but just look for the signs. Only about a 5 minute drive to Honfleur and about 90min to American Cemetery. Ate 2 great meals at the hotel restaurant and 1 in town. Staff was superb and spoke pretty good English. Would go there again for sure.

Lovely Get Away
Beautiful little haven .. the dinner was tremendous. It is remote -- no cell service (not even French phones!) and no staff on-site at night. The rooms are very nice, but a bit tight unless you upgrade. Make sure you ask for WiFi room if you will need it (remember no phone service) - not all rooms get a signal (we had to be moved).Use Hotel.com map to get there -- it won't show up on GPS!
