This would be necessary anyway as there's nowhere to pull up and offload your luggage."

It's a short, but easy bus ride into the town - take a 1a or 1b bus from almost outside the hotel direct to Dubrovnik Old Town. The views are beautiful and eating breakfast on the verandah on the waterfront is delighful. The rooms are clean and comfortable - the only complaint from my husband was that although tea and a kettle were provided there wasn't any coffee. It was readily available...

"Beautiful Hotel. Situated in a good area, yes it is a 20min walk into Lapad, but if you want quiet this is the Hotel to go to. You can use all of the royal hotel group facilities. Breakfast was excellent. I found the Croatian people very obliging. The Bedroom was kept spotless and couldn’t fault the cleaners. I would recommend this hotel."

The hallways are hot and dirty, I almost stepped on poop walking to my room. The in room air conditioning is noisy and barely cools. Bathroom is old and small. Paying over $200 a night for this dump in an insult. There is construction across the street that makes the location quite noisy. It would have been much better to stay at a much cheaper B&B in old town."
