"This resort is the older style bungalow type. Yes, it’s a little dated, but is well kept and exactly what I wanted. Traditional Thai beach bungalows at a good price. Sheets were great, pool and grounds well kept by lots of staff. A great breakfast and lovely beach."

"Beautiful beach, comfortable bed & good shower, clean & perfect for what we needed. Food was good in the Similan restaurant & breakfast also really good. Staff were friendly & helpful. Was a 400thb taxi ride into bang Niang night market so away from the centre but quiet for us & a short transfer to the pier for the early bird Similan island tour we booked in advance. "The people who work at these facilities are never to blame, they work with what they are given. The hotel manager was an angel, his staff exceptional but the hotel is in great need of renovations or general maintenance. Investment is needed to bring it at its grandeur. "

10/10 Excellent

"Far from anything but an excellent beach and the most amazing pool I have ever seen. A huge collection of lagoons canals and big pools plus kiddie pools. Our room had direct access to a chest high canal type pool which connected to the huge central pool. Lots of eating choices including inexpensive non-hotel Thai eateries adjacent to the beach. Very good breakfast buffet. A lot of walking because this is a huge property. Uncrowded and clean beach. The room was large attractive and clean though a bit dated. All in all the best Marriott I have ever stayed in and one of the best hotels."

"Fabulous! I had a pool access room and it was great to avoid the crowd at the main pool. I did go to the beach twice which was nice, but I preferred the quiet. Staff was helpful and did a great job. The area around the hotel is great - tons of places to eat, get massages, etc. I plan on returning the same time next year!"
