The property is small and boutique like (just 14 rooms), very nice and top quality. The staff are what makes the property so nice. We had hired a car and drove from the airport and had no problems parking at the hotel. The Lanna style of the hotel gives a unique feel and a pleasant hideaway from the outside. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food option in the restaurant and it appeared to cater for many different tastes. We stayed for 2 nights and we were pleased with the variety of food for breakfast, the early check-in given and the easy check out. We were given a connecting room so it was really a very comfortable stay. No hassle.

Staff were fantastic, breakfast was nice with great coffee. Location a little out of the way but transport very cheap. Rooms were nice with lots of complimentary items . The best overall hotel we have stayed in and would stay here again

This is a really amazing hotel in a good quiet location yet only 15 minute to night market and old town. Can’t speak highly enough of the staff and the place is immaculate. If you go to Chiang Mai stay there!!

I’ve been to Thailand a few times and the Empress Hotel has to the best hotel I’ve stayed in for service. When I arrived I received a voucher for a free drink and a welcome gift as well as being upgraded and in my room fresh fruit, the staff were just excellent very polite, friendly and helpful, good choice of food at breakfast time, the pool area was good as was my room(1501) If I do come back to Chiang Mai again I will definitely stay at the Empress Hotel

A truly unbelievable hotel,can not believe the Horizon Village resort is only 4*,I have stayed in 5 star hotels that don't even come close to this resort & the service(and the price..Wow...I payed £28 a night for a deluxe room over looking a lake).I booked with 3 friends for 3 nights and stayed 8 as we had to get back to Bangkok but could of stayed 3 weeks and some if time had allowed.There is so much to do here,mini zoo,boating lake,amazing vast gardens & lakes just to name a few.Will Defiantly...

Great hotel in an ideal location inside the city wall. Friendly staff who are available 24 hours. Tasty breakfast provided with complimentary drinking water, tea and coffee provided in reception all hours. This was a massive bonus knowing we could go back to drinking water. Nice pool outside with a few sunbeds. Would stay here again.

I loved the whole atmoshere of it: staff helped always, were at hand but never too much; traditional interior with many artwork around selected perfectly in balance - not too much but enough to grab your attention. location is perfect too: a walking market is just around the corner on sundays, near great places to eat, easy to access. I would go there anytime and would recommend to anyone.
