"If you want somewhere basic and well located in Chiangmai old town, this is the place for you. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a lovely area walking distance from lovely shops and places to eat and book other excursions. My only complaint would be that the room was quite basic, there was a lot of noise from other AC generators (despite the one in our room being turned off whilst we tried to sleep) and the shower was not hot. "It was a great value; the mattress was hard but comfortable, and the privacy curtains were great. I stayed in the women's dorm. When I first booked online, they made a weird comment about not renting to anyone over 40 (because of stairs), though it was only one flight. The vibe at the hostel was offputting, though. The host was lovely, though; since it was off-season, they included breakfast. I was the only non-Asian during my five days. (They do cater to Chinese tourists). I felt safe, and...

"I am genuinely disappointed with my experience at this hostel. I booked and paid for a family room three days in advance, but when my family and I arrived, we were informed that there was no room available. We waited for 3 hours, and the staff did not provide any assistance; they simply stated that there was no room and walked away from the reception. This was incredibly frustrating, and we ultimately had to find another hotel over 40 minutes away, which completely disrupted our travel plans....

"This hotel was beyond our expectations. From the welcome every time we stepped into the property to the moment we left, the staff was very hospitable and friendly. The room was spotless and had all the amenities. The terrace room has a private hot tub that is on the entire day and cleaned periodically. The renovation is very luxurious for the room. We found it convenient to get a rideshare into the old city and nimman area where we spent most of our visit. The surrounding area is also very walkable with lot if spas, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants."
