The staff were lovely and the hotel and my room was very clean. I'd definitely stay there again. The restaurant is great too. I hughly recommend them.

Best bed ever
One night stop only A bit tricky to find as turn off from main road very tricky Staff lovely and food filled a gap though was not up to standard....spaghetti with chunky vegetables....should have diced em then it would have gone down a treat.

Jackson’s hotel St Patrick’s night
We had a lovely time here the kids enjoyed the pool and the food was fantastic 200 euro for six for dinner the only thing was the room I was in was very hot and we couldn’t cool it down but it was only for one night but overall an excellent experience

I stayed for a few nights on a work trip. The room was lovely and the restaurant has a good selection of food. There were some problems with internet access one evening, but Caroline was amazing and went over and above to sort out the problem for us. She was brilliant.

A little underwhelmed
On the plus side, food in the bar was good, tasty and well presented. The room was comfortable and clean. However, service was somewhat hit and miss. Some of the staff were rather abrupt and unfriendly. I feel that the place could be better organised, and could probably do with a decor update too. Not sure if I would call it a 4 star experience, even though we paid a 4 star price!

Restaurant served up some great food and pints. The staff were fantastic. Only issue I had was the elevator was broken and I was traveling with someone who is disabled.

Room was exceptionally clean , spacious and extremely comfortably . Everything you could possibly ask for . Reception staff are friendly and extremely helpful especially Caomihe and I think it was Lindsay the other reception staff member .

I didn’t like the fact we booked a meal in the restaurant for 8.15.We we’re called in and seated at this time got our drinks and about 5 minutes later we ordered .At 9.20 the waiter who took our order came over and asked if we were ok into which I replied we’re starving.He couldn’t believe we still hadn’t our food . Then around 9.30 we finally ate .Food was beautiful . Then we went back to our room which was room 135 .The music started playing and it was so loud my child couldn’t sleep and could we .Then the noise outside our window of people leaving the hotel was awful.To make matters worse went for breakfast this morning after a sleepless night and it was awful.Went in was took to our seat asked did we want tea or coffee and toast.We said tea and toast.So we went to get our fry o by the way no bacon .We went back to our table after asking 3 workers for tea and toast finally a girl came when our food was half eaten as we couldn’t wait to get a cup of tea.Didnt even finish our breakfast as we had enough.Wont be back in a hurry. So disappointed as we traveled so far for a nice Easter break .Thank God I didn’t stay 2 nights .We haves stayed in many a hotel and this was such a waste of money.

Hotel was very nice, but the bedroom was more like a 1star. The toilet door did not lock and when you got the toilet to close it just popped open, no privacy. The shower had no pressure, the extraction fan did not work. They should have a shaving mirror in the bathroom as the lighting was not good and the big mirror in the bathroom was to far away to a good shave. There were broken and cracked tiles in the bath and right beside the controls of the shower. I was really disappointed with this so call 4 Star Hotel I did take alot of photos of the pitiful bedroom i do believe, because we booked the Jacksons Hotel online through Expedia breakfast was not included i did complain the day we were leaving. This so-called 4 star hotel then took 2 drinks of our total bill. Very disappointed customers.

Our experience was amazing, we couldnt fault it at all, all the staff were very accommodating and it really felt like a break for us even though we had 2 kids under 2! We have booked to go again for Easter we were that impressed

Rooms are spacious and clean, telephone wasn’t working so had to walk down to reception if needed anything. A lot of residents walking around in common areas not wearing masks made us very uncomfortable, we did bring it to to staff attention it seems unfair to elder or vulnerable people that masks were not being worn, far too many people eating and drinking in bar with no social distance

Enjoyed our stay at Jacksons. Staff were very helpful. Food was exceptional and would highly recommend. Rooms were clean but some of the furniture was dated. Would stay again.

The hotel was centrally located and handy for all activities in the surrounding area. We were in the older part of the hotel and the fixtures and fittings were showing signs of wear and were a bit dated.

We had a great stay at Jacksons' the staff were super friendly 'helped out were ever they could. Although the room was a bit tired the bed was comfy, there are tea making facilities but no tea was provided you had to ask at reception for tea coffee etc. The location ideal for Donegal and Letterkenny. Ballybofey is a nice little town and has good selection of shops,bars resturants takeaways.Would reccomend staying at Jacksons.

We will return!
First time staying in Jackson's and it won't be the last. All the staff we encountered during our stay were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel looks great and our rooms (in the new part of the hotel) were very clean and covid precautions taken very well. Got slot booked for pool and we all enjoyed it, just 5 of us in total. Jacuzzi and sauna open as normal. Given tools at pool reception. Breakfast was lovely but can get little busy if you leave it later. Had to queue for cold/juices, separate queue for hot food but they brought tea/coffee and toast to table. Had lunch in the restaurant and all 5 of us got something different and all really enjoyed it, great quality. Free parking on site was great. Not a lot in Ballybofey itself but it was a great base to explore Donegal. Check out Assaranca waterfall near Ardara, worth the trip! Looking forward to next trip!!
