Great Stay!

The quality and cleanliness of the hotel property in general and our room in particular were excellent. The staff was great. The room comfort was great, but on a somewhat hot July day air conditioning would have made it perfect. The included breakfast was excellent and we had dinner the night before and the authentic German meals were reasonably priced and VERY flavorable. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

This was one of my best stays in Germany. We booked a large suite with Hotel Herzog Georg to accommodate three adults and one youth for one night. The suite was all new, beautifully set up and right next to the main hotel building. It was modern, very clean and nicely equipped. First rate. Also, the breakfast was excellent. Finally, the staff at the check-in counter and the breakfast area were cheerful and very friendly. I hope I have an opportunity to return and stay for longer.

Great spot hidden in the German Countryside !

Hotel Herzog Georg is a real gem hidden in rural Germany. The size of room is larger than a standard European room and we were very happy to have 2 large size doubles for my wife and 15 yr old son. Breakfast was massive European style and quality was superb. Lots of walking opportunities around town with site seeing and hiking just a short drive away. A couple notes, not much English spoken here, or in town at all. People were extremely gracious and we didnt have any issues, but just be aware. Also there are limited hours for the reception and if you think you will even be close to showing up after 7pm local time, reach out and coordinate how to get room access. We did not do this (our fault) and struggled to get ahold of the reception after hours with our US phones. Overall I would def stay here again if I was coming to the area.

Wir waren bereits mehrfach im Hotel Herzog Georg in Bad Liebenstein zu Gast und kommen immer wieder gerne zurück. Sowohl die Apartments als auch die Doppelzimmer im Neubau sind absolut spitze – modern, sauber und sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. Das Frühstück hat sich über die Jahre stetig verbessert und bietet inzwischen eine richtig tolle Auswahl. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass auch alternative Produkte für Gäste mit Unverträglichkeiten (z. B. bei Laktoseintoleranz) angeboten werden – das ist nicht selbstverständlich! Das Personal ist stets freundlich und aufmerksam, die Lage zentral und ruhig zugleich. Ein rundum empfehlenswertes Hotel – wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Aufenthalt mit der Familie!

Tolle 10 Tage in Bad Liebenstein

Wenn ich meckern wollte, müßte ich lügen.Ich war vom "Herzog Georg" so begeistert, dass ich statt 5 gleich 10 Tage geblieben bin (2mal verlängert). Über das Frühstück haben sich schon alle anderen lobend ausgelassen, sodass nur noch anzumerken ist, dass ich frischen Räucherlachs jeden Tag sonst eher von 5 Sterne Hotels agewohnt war. Die Mitarbeiter im Hotel waren sehr hilfsbereit und man hat gemerkt, dass die Freundlichkeit von Herzen kam, und nicht aufgesetzt war.Mein Zimmer (Doppelzimmer de Luxe) war geräumig, sauber und ich habe nichts vermisst. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind vorhanden und man bekommt alles was man so braucht oder zu Hause vergessen hat. Die Umgebung und der ganze Thüringer Wald sind einfach unschlagbar. Hier kommen auch Wanderfans voll auf ihre Kosten. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Vi boede i en lejlighed ved siden af selve hotellet. Det var meget fint til 5 personer. Det virkede meget nyt. Der var egen parkeringsplads lige uden for døren. Morgenmad var helt i top med meget hjælpsom personale. Kan klart anbefale hotellet.

Vi har en familie på 5 og vi havde en desværre kun 1 overnatning. Vi kunne sagtens have brugt en uge. I helt nye hotel værelser fik vi en stor lejlighed med 3 værelser. Super moderne og to toiletter (vigtig med to teenagere og den ene er en kvinde). Bilen parkeret sikkert under bygningen og jeg har virkeligt ikke noget dårligt at sige. Super lækker morgenmad. Helt sikkert et besøg værd. Vi brugte det som stop mod Østrig.
